Another variant of the fire crash truck this time just a simple water carrier. - A more simple vehicle to model but not as much fun!



This firefighter uses the shorter, fifth wheel chassis - note the fuel tank placement and the closer spaced rear axle pair with the huge leaf spring suspension instead of the big solid walking beam arrangement.

Let me put this question out there:

As we know the engine is between the two separate cabs but behind the cabs are those two auxillary equipment enclosures. These seem to vary in length on different variants with little rhyme or reason???

I think in part they contain engine and transmission oil coolers but why the different lengths????

Good news you also have the option for a six axle version! (If you want to buy TWO scud transporter kits to build it! Hey if you do I would be willing to buy some of the left over components from you of perhaps we could split a kit purchase???

Also note, there are no auxiliary structures behind the cab on this launcher vehicle. Of course with only a two passenger cab there is plenty of room for auxiliaries on the off side of the vehicle.
