I'd be interested to hear about other great diorama books. I've ordered these two volumes, but the author references a "crowded marketplace"... Suggestions?
On the workbench:
* Tamiya FAMO + Alliance Modelworks 88 Flak conversion
* Takom Mk. 1 Male
* AFV Club Sd. Kfz. 251/20 Ausf. D + Blast Models add-on set

Are these books available at any online stores (Other than the publisher's) that take straight credit card transactions (Not through PayPal)?

I have to inform everybody that the author of the first two volumes of "Let's build a diorama", László Adóba informed me that he would like to publish the third volume on his own and after a long discussion we agreed to part peacefully.
As far as I know most of the content is finished but as this decision was made only a few days ago I can't tell any further details on the publishing date and whether or not there will be an English edition in the near future. Not the happiest news to me, but I wish him all the success with his coming works.
In the meantime we are working on two other titles, as soon as there will be materials to update, I will post it.

Received both volumes yesterday, just under a month from ordering, which I consider quick, being that I'm in the middle of the Pacific. (quicker than when I order from Squadron.) The books are beautiful and nicely done. I've already read most of volume one and I look forward to trying some of the techniques.
Happy Modelling, -zon

My copies of volume 1 & 2 were waiting the mailbox when i got home today! Just under a month, which isn't bad at all. They are excellent resources and a wise investment!

Received mine with only 2 days shipping.
If you are on a budget and only want to buy the most essential materials, this would be the books for your toolbox - practical, easy to follow and using materials that are friendly to your wallet - just my kind of style.
Just be aware that these volumes doesn't deal with layout and composition - which from my point of view is ok.
Highly recommended/Jan
It´s happy days for modellers...

The fact that Laszlo sent every book ordered via registered international airmail shows his commitment and service to his customers

, so, yeah, I'm really to pre-order Volume 3 in the series if and when it comes out

! Kudos to Laszlo and HarVar-d Design Studio Ltd. for producing this great and essential series of books. Cheers !

This is a great book and a terrific addition to the first. For those worrying about shipment mine seemed to take a seriously long time bit this was not Laszlo's fault. I think the terrible weather in Europe was to blame.
Anyway, a great book....

Yes, Laszlo please tell Laszlo that #3 is a must and tell the publisher you guys insist on at least 100 pages or better. There's just too much information Laszlo has to pass on that we all would love to inherit!
Cheers, Ski.
P.S. Note: For those who might be concerned about shipping and arrival, let it be known that Laszlo was with me all along on my delayed arrival and was ready to send another book when mine arrived. Now that's what I call service!

Hey Guys, got mine just last week and it was worth the wait. 1&2 are a must for the tool bag. Just wish there were more pics of the finished products for an overall view, but I understand the space available. Fine work Laszlo, yall saved us plenty of time and a heck of a lot of the learning curve!
Cheers, Ski.

Kenneth, Stefan:
Thank you for your appreciation!
Unfortunately this weather dropped all the international post services out of pace. I'm sorry that sometimes it took so long the books to arrive and I'm very grateful that everybody who wrote here or contacted me directly through mail was very patient and understanding. I do my best but as these are registred letters, they don't have a permanent tracking, just when they are leaving Hungary and when processed at the receving country.

Hi guys

!
Just received my copy today after close to a 2-month wait (probably due to the holiday season postal "rush"

). My verdict : AWESOME

!!!! The topic selection and presentation makes this an essential part of the modellers' "arsenal" , be it armour or figure or aircraft

; it's that GOOD !!! Looking forward to Part 3 (if any

). Cheers !

My example arrived within less than a week even over Christmas. Great service. I have already used it successfully.

Martin, I would suspect your delay is due to postal service or some unforseen event, not the publisher. Might want to ask if they can track it?
Cheers!
Stefan

It's been a month and I am still waiting on the shipment.

I don't have a good feeling about it. With my luck the package feel off the mail truck into a snow pile somewhere along the way.

Laszlo,
I have just received my book and I think it is absolutely great. I love the way you create very realistic models from cheap and readily available items. I am currently making a tree using the technique outlined in your book and I am really impressed with the results so far. My only question is that you mention using prefabricated leaves for the foliage. Who makes these and where can I get some ?
Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next book !
Andy,
the foliage was made of Noch leaves, there are sold usually by railway modeller shops and it is available in different colours.
Paul,
I'm glad that finally it has arrived! I would say that I will launch the books only in summer, but last year even that was a bad season because of the volcano in Iceland :-).
Andy.
