That actually looks pretty good. Those bold primaries just drive the eyes crazy, I'm wondering if adding some 3D effects will help to tone it down a bit? I haven't looked at Gimp in a while, so I don't remember what it's capabilities are...

Greetings Gents,
Another "Wing Wiper" joining in. Not really sure which direction I'll go, I normally like to do the unusual. At the present time, I would lean towards the Mighty F-8 Crusader, but we'll see. Jarhead colors....Of Course......Take it easy, Bruce

Jeremy,
Thank you. I'm really looking forward to this campaign. Now I just need to figure out which scale F-8 to prepare to dive into. At least I have some time to get ready for this one.

Looking forward to all the "Nam models and collections that will be on display.

Take it easy.......Bruce ....

P.S. - Are we working on a banner yet ?

I am too, there are already a lot of great projects being planned

I don't know what scale you usually work with, but I think that most of the aircraft entries are going to be in 1/48. I don't really think you can go wrong with any of the scales.

Nobody has stepped up with any banner ideas yet, so feel free to share any ideas you have

Jeremy,
I'd love to help with a banner, but unfortunately I'm among the "computer challenged"! So unfortunately I'll have to wait for the volunteers step up, like everyone else.

As for the F-8, I have the Academy in 1/72, plus the Hasegawa in 1/48th. But in all reality, lately I've been enjoying building the old Monogram kits. Just build them for enjoyment and not worry about competition, so we'll see. We still have have plenty of time. Right now I'm leaning towards the Revell/Monogram in 1/48th. Plenty of markings to choose from.

Take it easy, Gang...............................Bruce....

No problem Bruce, I'll be working on some if I can get caught up in time

And sounds like a plan, it's always good to see the older kits being built in campaigns

I borrowed Thomo's banner here, but I'll change if an official campaign one comes up. Of all the campaigns I'm currently in, only Modeling a Photo had a banner to use.
sorry I'm not helping here, am I? I'll try to piece something together.

Randy: What graphics program do you have on your computer?

Jeremy,

I am not really sure since I don't use it. I have a Dell so I guess I just have whatever comes standard with it.

Sean: I figured that's what you were doing, it's a cool banner
Give me a few weeks and I should be able to get some time in to make a few for this campaign.

Randy: You probably have Paint then, the standard graphics editing program that we all get

Sal: Awesome man! That's a cool little kit, and will be your second from Academy if I remember correctly?

I'm going to be appointing a deputy for each of my campaigns as it seems good practice to do so in case something happens on my end. Who would like to step up?

Tom: I'm leaning towards that one myself, going to see if I can tone down the colors for Axel a bit.

Axel: I also had another idea for the ribbon, but I think I'll need to create it and show you as I don't quite know how to explain it.

31 to be precise
I've just enlisted for a campaign that fits my mood of the moment.
Justa question : may we submit 2 vignettes for example.
Let me explain : I have a picture of a french mg squand in Inodchin mud I want to depict since long ago. This campaign could be the kick in the ass I need to jump on it.
In the meantime I've just ordered 4 Bravo 6 figures with an idea of diorama in mind. i was just wandering if I could submit 1 french and 1 us subject for the campaign.
And lastly, sorry if I miss the information, but when the campaign starts ? Is it August ? Because I will certainly forget it if in Augus, but I will not if we start now..
Best and have a nice campaign

Welcome to the campaign Julien!

The answer to your first question is yes, multiple entries are certainly allowed!

The answer to your second question, this campaign starts August 1st. I'll send out a reminder shortly before the start date

Decided to go with the Deuce and a half.

Hence, 'AFV Club M-35A2 2 1/2 Ton Cargo Truck' is on it's way to my stash.
