I am currently building a Dragon M1A2 SEP TUSK II for a group build on another site; I have gotten to the point of installing the Gunner's Primary Sight/Line of Sight housing on the turret, and was was wondering if there is more detail that can be scratchbuilt to add behind the clear front window? From pictures there appears apperas to be optics that alternately appear as gold and/or green metallic circles, and I plan on representing these with circles punched from metallic confetti using a Waldron punch set. Other than that, not sure what else should be in the housing. Also, should the windows of the GPS/LOS be left clear or are they tinted? Sorry for all the questions, but thanks for any input nonetheless.

Chuck,

From these images from Prime Portal, it appears that the right pane of the two large squares of glass has at least a "mesh" and a purple tint of anti-laser coating. The mesh may be a heaver type of coating similiar to leading in crystal or other optics.

The left pane doesn't appear to have the purple tint, and has a more mirror-like coating, since it reflects the image of the top of the turret more (but is still see through if the lighting is just right).

The cirular and rectangle glass inside probably are reflective looking more from an effect of the optics (glass seen through the outer glass), but in all of the images they are reflective, so I don't think you would be wrong to punch out circles from metallic confetti.

I hope this helps...

Jeff those shots are exactly what I need; thank you so very much for the help. I had done a search of Prime Portal but somehow I missed these pics; they do confirm the purplish tint I thought I was seeing on the right window in more distant shots.
