I have no idea what to build ...

Me neither, that's the one reason I think it will be a fun campaign as it'll sort of be unpredictable.

Well, there is always the Great Panjandrum. The thing was more dangerous to the users than it was to the enemy... 8^D You have to admit it is interesting in motion.....

If the ground was perfectly flat it only then might work but wouldn't bet on it .

Phill,

I was reading the rules for the campaign.... yeah, I know, kind of sick..... and Number 3 about allowing partial builds caught my eye. I have a partial build of the Danish BARV, shown below...

Which is up to this point....

My question is the build to far along, or will you allow this into the campaign?

Thanks Phill.... I want to see it finished also. That is why I wanted it in this build, to push me to finish it. Way to easy to put it away otherwise.

Bob,
I got your BARV photo disc, and it is excellent! That is a lot more photos than I expected, and every conceivable angle!
I'll be making my own over on the Support/Recovery Campaign relatively quickly, since I have 3 others before it, and that campaign ends June 1. I'm nearly complete with my first foray back into tracked vehicles in about 25 years, over on the Art of the Battlefield Campaign (a fairly straight-up Tamiya M8 HMC), and my BARV will be the second.
I'm working on making 2013 easier on myself though, with this campaign and just a couple others.
Again, your BARV start looks good, and I can't wait until April 1 to see the rest!
Cheers!

Sean,

Glad it made it there. I know it was the only way I could have tackled the Bulldog. However, you might also want to check out the set of photos over at Prime Portal...

http://www.primeportal.net/recovery/ulrich_wrede/leopard_1_barv/

Thanks for the kind words on my start. It is pretty high praise from someone that made that excellent Humvee UPS truck. Has gotten me thinking of ice cream trucks for some reason....

touche! There's no wrong way to make a Humvee UPS truck. If you're really thinking of an ice cream truck, the What If 2 campaign runs until May 15th-- there's still time!

Phill, count me for that Studebaker LC platform truck. I've got a plan mostly worked out in my head. We'll see how it goes!

Sean thats a nice idea .. not that much of a nightmare to build , the really hardest part i can think of is the drivers position , other than that is should be pretty smoothish sailing

Sean,

Gee, when you get that one all figured out you can figure out the Nodwell for me...

Have to love a tracked vehicle that can be put out of commission by a flat tire!

lol ,, ya strange idea ain't it ,, its like the version that was in Vietnam .. ok lets take a rubber tyred, lightly armoured, high silhouette vehicle to a place were everybody has a gun and wants to kill you .
Don't make alot of sense that but then the guys in the head sheds did lots of things that didn't make sense which is good in away ..couldn't do this campaign if they didn't

Phill,

You must be talking about the M-76 Otter. I love that silly thing and it is on my list of stuff to scratch build one of these days. Almost did it for this campaign but perhaps another time.

However, both of these vehicles did really well in the ice and snow. Have some footage from an old TV show that the US Army did showing the Otter in Alaska and Greenland...

Hey guys...Don't you know what to build ?

Do you have perhaps an old DML t-72 in your stash? here you are what you can do with it:

WRI IMR-2 tankHere an EXHAUSTIVE walkaround

http://photo.qip.ru/users/coast70/150500371/

Don't you have a t-72 but you have an old ugly Skif T-64 ?

Well here you are the MT-T tractor which was built using as base the T-64

These are two walkarounds of it:

Hope this could help you
