Hello my friends,

Wanted information about the Humvee GSSV, I have this picture I found on the internet.

I started doing a conversion in the Academy kit, and would like more details especially the antennas.

I stopped at this stage the model…

Could someone give a help?

Regards,

Sergio

Everything I can quickly find on the Ground Sensor Surveillance Vehicle indicates that its a classified intelligence gathering platform. Oddly enough the NSN is easy enough to find (2355-01-563-1031) and by looking this up it appears that development for the thing is being managed by the Battlespace Awareness end of the US Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command. The facility where that end of things operates out of, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, South Carolina, deals in everything related to "engineering expertise to fabricate, integrate and test for all command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) acquisition engineering and integration."

In short, very specific details will probably be hard to come by.

Thanks for posting your work and information on this HMMWV variant. As Joe has alluded to, open information will be hard to come by as a result of the systems installed.

If you go to my website www.hmmwvinscale.com and go to the 'HMMWV Features' then 'Commercial Items' in the Helmet Hardtop section there is a profile picture of what I think my be the base vehicle.

Just another update, the GSSV is a subsystem of the USMC's Tactical Remote Sensor System (TRSS). Searching on that might yield more info.

I additionally identified that that the M1165 GSSV is referred to as the Sensor Mobile Monitoring System component of the USMC TRSS.

Hi Kuba,

Unfortunately I only have this reference, I posted earlier.

In detailing the interior I'm using as a base the images I found on the internet.

That's what I could find ...

If anyone has more information, is still time to change much.

Regards…
