A new generation of resin figures has arrived. So to get "ahead" and see what 3D printing and sculpting can do, check out Mario Matijasic''s review of the first head set from Live Resin in 1/35 scale: US Army Modern Heads (LRE-35067).

Thanks for publishing this one so fast. I have several more sets of goodies from Live Resin... so stay tuned for new reviews on Armorama soon.

These heads are excellent! I used one on a resin body and the fit and scale is wonderful once I sanded down the next to fit the collar. Live-Resin's contributions to the 1/35 figure market really progresses the figures to 2012 state-of-the-art appearances.

This, and a few others about the same company, feels like it was submitted by the manufacturer, or someone related to them. That isn't a review, it belongs in the news section, where vendors provide their own material.

Can you explain this claim a bit further? What is it that you find not suitable for a review?

Mario

BTW, I'm in no way connected to Live Resin.

Sorry but if your statement is implying Mario is somehow a mouth piece for these guys, and is giving them a shining review because he's some how in their pay then you are sorely wrong. Mario is, in my opinion, one of the few reviewers who truly knows his stuff. Had Live Resin produced a piece of crap Mario would have said so, as it is (and I have the head set as well) these are an absolutely superb item.

I've got this set, and to be honest, Mario's review is spot on. He's covered casting, accuracy, scale, issues with computer 3D sculpting. It states it's an in-box review. It's comes out as a glowing review with very few issues, because that's what this product is -it's good! And as said, I have this set as well.

The neutral expressions are a limitation of 3D sculpting, but I can work round that (I can sculpt in a traditional sense, so feel capable of adding a bit more character)

and I just noticed Rob has replied to this, and I'm 100% in agreement

Thanks for the support guys, I appreciate it! I guess people who never saw Liver Resin stuff in person have no idea how great these sets really are and think of my reviews as an exaggeration.
