Matthew you could always build the staghound as a lebanese version. They had a few of them during their long civil war and many different versions and turret.

Hi Mike,

Im interested but the only kits that i have that might or might not work is an M-18 hellact and the T-90. Is there a chance either of those would do? If not i might be able to trade a kit with my nephew if he will. I have about 15 kits he has about 150. Anyways, im interested!

Hey Gary this might help some.

Here is one from Kosovo 1999

Here a tone of them being shipped back to England from bosnia

And if you can get your hands on a T-55 kit you can always build the famous T-55/m18 hybrid

Hi Gary,

It would be an honour to have someone with your talents "serve" with us on this campaign!! As Phill & Chris have advised that Hellcat can be used for sure in a couple of guise's!!

Not only that if my Dinosauristic self works out how to use my new scanner I can also send you a copy of the M18's maintenance manual & watch you weave your magic & take notes for when I eventually make my Hellcat!!

So that gives us 8 definite's & a maybe, fingers crosed for more!!

Garry great to see you will joining up, we're getting closer now.

If anyone is looking for ideas, I came across some lebanese sherman fireflys while doing some research. Defiantly would fit the bill perfectly for this campaign.

I wonder if any armored cars would fit here? Particularly the Saladin MkII? It's just sittin' there wantin' so badly to be built or sold! Or maybe an old M3 Scout Car with painted over the white stars?

Here recently I have been bitten by the 'wheeled look' effect so tires and wheels are more appealing (I can't believe I am saying that) right now than tracks!

Of course I'll will pick up the usual Sci-Fi & Space project or a Horror kit just to keep me in check.

Hey Jeff ..well i would say you could use the Saladin Mk11 in this campaign ( of course if Mikey agrees ) this is something i found in like a minute .. The Sri Lanka Armoured Corps used Saladins extensively during the early stages of the Sri Lankan Civil War and remained in reserve status till the end of the war in 2009. It forms the Tank Crew pin of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps.

Thats one Civil war ,,I will bet theres more out there .

Hey Jeff & Phill,

Anything goes as far as I am concerned if it was used in a civil war / super power proxy war & we can show it to all doubting thomas's & so I can learn more LOL then all is good by me!!

Thanks Phill for that very informative insight! You are quite the Historian aren't you?

Well I believe I'll be satisfied with the findings as with checking on that armored car, they were used in that conflict.

"Following the 1971 Insurrection, British Alvis Saladin armoured cars and Soviet BTR-152 armored personnel carriers (APC) were added."

At last, the Tamiya kit will be built. Too bad it has vinyl tires!

Oh, not at all Mike.

I was leading towards a Fluorescent Pink with yellow flowers.

I do believe the sun has bleached out the tan color it was once painted.

And don't forget the Pink Panther (a T34 in reality) that's all over the Internet.

Well, at least one more kit has found a home.
