I'm in with the Tamiya Steyr 1500A Kommanduerwagen (SP?)that has been staring at me from my stash for about a year Does anyone know of AM stuff for this kit; I was told there was PE and maybe resin AM parts but haven't had luck tracking them down.

Steph, welcome to the campaign!

And Sal, I hear ya - I've got at least a few more days of weathering a Panther before I can raid the stash for my car. (Not to mention all the other campaigns I haven't started yet... )

Would a " Chicago gangster" style car be OK, or does it have to have been used as a military vehicle at one time?

Hmmm... I suppose it's a different kind of "staff" - do tell what you have planned! I'm not sure yet, but on the face of it the idea sounds plausible. Will it have a crew of mobsters on board?

Oh, I meant to add that I'm almost done with some late-running builds, so hopefully my own entry will be posted in the next few days! (Once I dig my way through all the boxes to get at the right cupboard, that is...)

I was thinking of using this car with this gangster figure next to it.. It's just that ever since I saw this car I've been thinking about building it as a mobster car

Hisham, I like it! Definitely ok by me. (I wanted to see that car kit in this campaign anyway... ) Any idea what colour the car will be? The pre-war period was brighter than we think - black&white photography has a lot to answer for!

Tom, nice kit - can't wait to see the build!

Here we go, my first campaign and what did I chose an old Italaerei model of a Kübelwagen thats been laying around for quite some time. Well there's some things that has to be redone and made better, a challenge? Yes ! But why start a project if there isn't a challenged involved

@Delbert love the ribbon

Roland, sounds pretty cool. As for posting pics, have a read of that thread Gary pointed out, and come back to me if you can't get it to work. The other way is to put your pics in Photobucket and then copy the "IMG CODE" box to paste into your thread posts. (If you hover the cursor ove an image in Photobucket, four boxes apear below it - the last one is IMG Code. Usually just clicking the mouse in that box gives the message "copied", so you can then paste it elsewhere.)

By the way everybody, if you host your pics in PB or elsewhere, please be sure to leave them there for at least a month after the campaign ends, so we don't get posts full of dreaded "red X" where the pic is no longer there! (And I'll need to harvest them to make up the end-of-campaign Feature article, so they need to hang around for a short while.) I say this because I've seen folks in the past either removing images from their accounts, or re-organising them which has the same link-breaking effect. Thanks!

Nice work on that Jeepskie, Sal! What I'd love to know is how it relates to Tamiya's 1:48 version - did they do a new design, or just pantograph it down?...
