Russ Amott [ RUSSAMOTTO ] brings us this informative review of a 1943-fit USS Gato. He finds it to have very nice, crisp detail, and good fit of upper and lower hulls. His only complaint, "I can''t get to the build right away".

Thanks for your help, Fred. These Gato subs could get really addicting, like Shermans and Thunderbolts. There's a big story behind each one.

Thanks Russ for a wellwritten and interesting review - having build one of AFV´s offerings I agree on your finds.

Personally I´m not that fond of the etched railings, as I find the missing bottom rail annoying, making fitting the railing unnecessarily cumbersome.
