Loving the great builds that are going on here.

I am going to build the Me262A-1/U4 bomber interceptor.

Great to see more flying machines this time. Lotsa you guys coming to the dark side!
The Hasegawa FW190 certainly has some BAD fit problems around the wing roots. Ther's been a lot of manipulation going on. I'm glad I saw someone had posted the idea of inserting some sprue spacers between the inside of the fuselage and the cockpit tub to push the walls out. It definitely helps a lot. I know there's a lot of filling & sanding going to be taking place over the weekend. My least fav pastime!

This is my inspiration photo, and I still need to fabricate the rear box and a few more minor details.

Here are the parts to build my factory ruins, various pipes, brick walls, barrels, and a spare T-34 Engine to lay about for the assault engineers to use for cover

I forgot to look for a dead commander to use

One more update, added the box. A couple pieces of stowage will go on the engine deck behind it. I get a lot done when the wife is home sick sleeping on the couch

Chris - thanks, I ended up sanding the rear box height lower

Jeff - dude I thought you would already be working on one here by now. You got to come in again with something

Here's my planning phase. I decided I'll use 4 out of the 5 Russian figures and leave out the fat guy holding the panzerfausts. 1. He's too big. 2. No panzerfausts in Stalingrad.

Greg... Man I'm really torn I wouldn't be able to start until after the first of the year, and I'm thinking that by that time most every one will be almost done.I got something in mind to build, but would have to order it and some other stuff.I'm still giving it a lot of thought.

On a brighter note, everybodies stuff looks great. What's that big tube thing overhead in the photo? An exhaust system? I'll bet the air in there got pretty heavy at times.Looks like they got a lot of fresh air now though Jeff T.

Chris - thanks for the comment. I have 3 engines and 2 transmissions made now from the Hobby Boss T-34's. The Tractor Factory in Stalingrad was capable of repairing tanks but not building the whole thing from scratch. So they fixed up damaged tanks and then rolled them out the other end to go fight.

Jeff- you can do it, just chug this first
Think about it, the holidays are coming and will slow everyone down anyways so I'm sure you won't be alone building. We need you here soldier!
That tube is for something factory related I will use the cardboard as a frame to bend my sheet metal around, and will have a pair a towers it's running across. Still figuring out the whole building and walls, roof or no roof, etc

OH CRAP!!! It's started already?!

I need to find something quick or build one of my AURORA kits? Maybe one of my WWI wingy things I bought?

What sounds good? I don't have another 1/48 heli... or do I? I need to go look.

Well, several other projects and tight funding have prohibited me from doing what I'd planned for this campaign. However, while not a new start, I did resurrect an old build on Saturday and I've been going full blast ever since!

Obviously it's not an entry in the campaign, but I think right now it's probably the only 48th piece I'll be able to work on. It kinda tickled my fancy as something completely different from my norm, so I figured why not. I'm building a bunch of halftracks for work (and the US Halftrack campaign), so this is my relaxation!

The nightmare that is the Hasegawa FW190 A-4!!
Bat fit round the wing root and engine cowling. This doesn't show the worst of it.

Looks ok from the front

Greg: Another nice scene shaping up from you. Looking forward to this one.

Sean: I will follow your Landy set. I saw that had come out recently and am thinking about getting it.

Pete: Nice work. Sorry to hear about your fit problems.

I am still on the fence for this campaign. I will be moving back to the mainland soon, although we don't have a date yet, and have started to pack. Consequently I'm hesitant to start another campaign, but my P-40 keeps beckoning me!! I will follow along either way.

Happy Modeling, -zon
