@ Jeff
Thanks, I did read up on posting pics and have past experience with other forums but it's been a few years. This tablet is the thing to really get used to coming from a desktop. A bit of practice and it'll be second nature. ;-)

Well day one was spent on the lower hull scratching flashing from the drive sprockets and idler wheel and assembling the road wheels.
That took about four and and half hours.

Today ,day two, is being spent on the Magic Tracks and upper hull.
The tracks went together rather easy with 91 out of the 120 being used.
The wheels are just tacked into place so the track could be placed and dry.

Oops miss count, 93 tracks used on one side 94 on the other.
39 tracks left over to use on the front and back lower hull.

Ohhh I want to tear into my Panther so badly. Probably going for either a Panzer Lehr or Das Reich one in Normandy. Got a Verlinden damaged zimm set, small set of branches for camo, and my new AK goodies coming in the mail So tempting, but I've gotta clear off some space

Lots of good looking builds kicked off here

Gary C: Great work on the tracks. I'll have to try completely assembling them, before I paint.

Sebastian: I always thought the Elefant an interesting tank destroyer. Looks like you have a few am parts, to dress it up.

Hey Matt, yeah the Elefant is interesting. So far it's very easy to build.

Only managed to complete the lower suspension, escape hatches, and lower front hull. Dealing with a pregnant wife, and working long hours I hope I can do more this week.

Both the flammpanzer and the elefant are looking good.

Mike: Progress is progress. I was working 12 hour overnights, at the mill and watching my daughter 4 hours out of the day. I had about one hour building time, per week. It just makes completion all that much more sweeter.

Thanks Matt, I do agree with you it does make the completion more sweeter. But even better if I can get my child into the hobby then I would have plenty of time but that's only several years away though

@Gary B.
Thanks! I have plenty of time on my hands, boys are grown but not out of house yet
From my understanding tracked machines have an on odd count between sides, not sure if model manufacturers do this on purpose.
When I was in the Army the M113 A2 I drove had odd tracks too. Years ago a heavy mechanic explained to me why this was but I don't recall right now, heck I just operate em not work on em. :-p (pull levers and flip switches. LOL)

So, here is the completion of day two. Just the rear lower hull to complete and the turret. Spent about 12 hours on it yesterday. Should have it completed today.... maybe.... the weather is somewhat nice today I might go sit under the canopy and tip a few
Also have a small walkway project to work on.... maybe.

More later.

Gary C,

I really like the sag on your tracks, looks really good. I'll be looking forward to seeing it painted.

I'm just about done with the rapid recon campaign project so I should be up and running in this one in a week or two.

Keep up the good work.

@Sebastian
Am thinking German yellow with green camo.
Not sure yet what type of dio I'm gunna do. I'll get the model built and painted factory finish then go back to working on an old jeep I found in the closet. It was busted up pretty good but have made progress on it before this campaign started.
Also have some busted up German half tracks and tanks.
Also just bought four German half tracks and many boxes of German figures. Am working on a bunch of Engineer type themes.
(I have tons to keep me busy!! )

Thanks everyone for the positive comments!!

The sun is shining and I feel a mighty thirst coming on.... .... just a couple more things to glue on the turret and its dun... except for applying the pioneer tools but those go on after painting which I'll probably do tomorrow.

Starting the Academy Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer "late version"...

I was thinking about building a Dragon Tiger II that's in my stash but since this is my first group build I was thinking more in the line of keeping it simple. It will be an OOB build and it looks like this can be tossed together in a couple of evenings if everything goes as planned.

I have not yet decided if I'm using the kit markings or if I'm using a color scheme from the Kagero book.

I should have my kit, by the end of the month. Found an extra $20 bill folded neatly, in my wallet. Glad I check, from time to time.
