Great campaign idea. Count me in...possibly with a Dragon Firefly in Polish markings. I will get that sorted out and posted later.

Sounds like a campaign not to miss, A sexton, or a variation on a universal carrier if the new one is available by then?

Well I just decided on my entry. A universal carrier of the Indian 6th Royal Frontier Force, Italy 1943. Based off a picture I found in the Imperial War Museum's collections. It looks great with an MG42 Mounted up front instead of the Bren gun.

Just signed up. Not sure what I'll build, but most likely it will be a DML Firefly as I have a few in my ever growing stash.

I'm thinking this will be a good time for the "Queen of the Desert" to make her appearence. Tamiya's new issue is sitting in the stash.

Hit my LHS yesterday for some supplies, and took another good long look at his massive armor section. He's had a Bronco M-24 Chaffee that keeps on calling my name, so I finally dug deep into my pockets, and home it came with me. Also noticed the Old Tamiya M3 Grant, which would be a perfect fit for this campaign, and an alternate from 2 consecutive Sherman builds. I just couldn't bring myself to buying such an old kit with all those dimensional errors. Tried to find the Academy M3 Grant as he said he has one or two, but couldn't spot it. Hopefully, my next trip will be more successful.

Anyway, I think I'll make an effort to change from one of the Firefly's I have, to the Academy M3 Grant. Hopefully it's one of the newer ones with the corrected bogies. Does any know if the Legends M3 Alco turret is correct for the Grant version? I bought one a few years ago by error online, and just never got around to returning it.

I have the Academy M7 Priest. I figured I'd place it in Sicily or Italy. I have to do some digging to see what my options are.

Didn't know you were in the 'the big sandbox' Eugene. Stay safe, might be hard for you to build your Cromwell otherwise.

I'm in with an unstarted 1/48 Cromwell. I have a Bridge Too Far type of dio in mind (partly hypothetical) with British AB & Jeep, and a Firefly already started.

We'll see if it works out in between house painting, ACL reconstruction surgery June 28, and twins due beginning of August

Eugene thank you for your service

This is the third time attempting to do something with this bridge lol.
I'm thinking the moment of US airborne meeting 30 corp trying to get that last push to Arnhem. (remove jeep and add cromwell crossing with Firefly). I can hardly wait for this campaign to start now

Here I have the scene planned out. I should add a road sign pointing to Arnhem and maybe a destroyed floating row boat in the water.

Here we have the airborne and tankers discussing the advance

Here we have one of the firefly tankers checking his watch anxiously while the other one gets ready for a smoke.

No work on the Cromwell until the campaign begins I know Just had to be sure it would work in the scene first.

Hey Everyone

The clock is countingdown till start time, I am excited for 2 reasons the GB is gonna start and I am almost out of Afghanistan, and returning to the bench is gonna be a great relaxation tool. I am stoked and also the commonwealth is the reason I got the armor bug from A/C. I just wanted to drop in and say hi, we got lots of members and some great looking projects I see I think it's gonna be a good one. I will be Building a M4 Sherman MK I change from my Cromwell Idea. Dont know who yet but I'll figure it out on my way back. The first week or so I won;t be around because of the 11k plus mile trip but when I get back it's on.. Well I just wanted to step in and say hi to everyone and bumps the post up to see if we get some more entries. keep the Ideas flowwing and talk to you soon.
Regards
Eugene

Greg that's an awesome scene you got going there. I'm thinking of doing a 1:48 scale build sometime soon and this campaign might be the perfect excuse
