Well congratulations to those that managed to finish this campaign I have to say this was very fun and informative and can’t wait for the second part to kick off.

John your T-62 came out fantastic; I like the dirty look of the side skirts

Cdharwins great finish on the enigma, kind of looks like it’s been sitting in the desert for a while before being found.

Bod your T-54 turned out great for an old dog of a kit. It’s amazing that even old crappy kits and be built into something nice with a little TLC and some paint.

Alex, love the T-62MV, plain and simple finish, but looks great. I’ve loved to get one of these kits, but want to replace the Kontakt blocks and tracks. One thing that can really make it stand out more would to be to paint different shades of green on the blocks much like the real thing shows.

John Pretty good finish on the T-55 w/ BTU. I like some of the extra details you added to it. Overall nicely done with the built up dirt.

Well I’m calling mine done for now. I still need to do a few touch ups, but will have to wait until the water fully dries. I have some of the clay that I used to dam for the water still partially on the base. I also found out the water I used eats away at the foam, I few spots you not pressed down enough and the water seep through. But overall I think it turned out not too bad, a few areas to improve on for the next time I try something like this.

@Christopher: Thanks for the kudos, the kit had been derided by others for its inaccuracy but I found that it was an easy build and as you stated a little paint can do wonders.

Thanks John,

Nice work yourself, dozer blade looks great.

Christopher, what can I say, a very bold project very well executed, well done. The base and the river look great (despite the foam issues) and the figures and the wildlife/vegetation add a lot of life and colour to the scene. One of the stand-out builds of the campaign I think!

Well done mate.

Thanks Bob and James for the comments

James I love how yours turned out. I have to agree with some of the comments over on the Russian forum it needs a base. Not a full blown dio, but a simple base with a road and rubble with maybe a figure or 2 sitting on the tank or something maybe surveying their surroundings. But overall very well done.

Aside from some mud and weathering I'm calling mine done as soon as the tracks dry... Whew, I didn't think it would happen and then there it was.

Thanks for all the inspiration gents and congratulations on all the great work you've turned out.

I should have my photos up tonight with any luck or tomorrow at the latest so we can all have a good guffaw then

John,
Looks very good to me!

Christopher,
Awesome!

Well,
Mine didn't come out as well as I had hoped but I did try some new things.

I lost one of the anchors for the mine plow cables, I just hope I didn't vacuum it up

Here are the final pics, they have been added to the gallery as well.

Great Campaign everyone!

Cheers Rob.

Doh! just noticed I didn't paint the end of the gun barrel.

Looks like you guys are keeping the best till last eh?

John (jkb) no need to apologise my friend, a great build there and that in such a short time .

Christopher what can I say to your diorama, the only one in here . Lovely job, nice small detail attention and nice to see some civvies as figures for a change

Rob, nice to see you have put the extra time to good use, great build there and a nice underdog subject too .
What did you use for mud on the mine rollers?

Thomas, great Tiran 5 there , and a welcome company for my Tiran 6 . I like the base idea too, but it isn't an Israeli map is it?

Well my clock says you have 6 hours 45 mins left, put it to good use and tomorrow I shall close this great campaign

Rob nice job there mate, i like the way the rollers look.

Thomas a fine build there and a nice idea to use the map.

Christopher the latest addition makes it look even better. Monkeys! Well done sir.

Guys thanks a lot for the comments. I could not get to build any models for a long time for various reasons so i had very little time to start and finish this one. I know the build could have been a lot better, but i was in a hurry. Better to build them this way than letting the stock grow bigger!

Paul thanks for the cool campaign and hope to see a Mk II. A T54 and another T55 still in the stash!

Hi there, well that's it time's up lads .

Well I think this one was a good one, here are some boring facts that kinda prove it:
52 players signed in
18 made it to the finishing line
31 pages on the thread
3 page gallery
55 photos in the gallery
759 posts
62000 views
Maybe one day I'll count the pics posted to but not today.
Thankyou to all who took part in the campaign, especially those who crossed the finish line . These campaigns can only be as good as the players in them , and in this one (in my opinion) we had the "creme de la creme". I would like to say a special thanks to our resident Russian vehicle specialist Christopher Ager, if you hadn't have put in your knowledge the builds wouldn't have been half as good as they are

So as a sort of "passing off" of the campaign here are your builds, these and more can all be found in the gallery.
Look on and enjoy.........

Thanks again lads, and I hope to see you all around the other campaigns

Paul

P.S. I am considering a #2 but not just yet. Lets get some of the others cool campaigns out of the way first.

P.P.S. All who finished within the rules of the campaign should now have their Awards.

Thomas,
Nicely done!

Paul,
For the mud I used Vallejo white pumice mixed with pigment and acrylic paints till I got the color I wanted. there are two colors of rust done with pigments with alcohol but that part did not come out as well.

Thanks for the campaign!

Cheers Rob.

Paul, thanks for the campaign. I'd definitely be up for a part 2. I think the campaign worked out quite well. I think the duration was just right. And, the thread seemed to remain pretty active throughout. I agree on waiting a bit before pt2.

Great campaign! Thanks for leading it, Paul. When you're ready, I'm up for Round 2; you can never have enough T-55s.

The monkey and the parrot on the TCs hatch made it for me

It was a lot of fun and got me building with enthusiasm, I have joined 2 more campaigns, one on Shipmaker. battleships still have turrets.

Thanks to Paul and all my fellow campaigners.

Don't know if I'm ready for more fuel lines but I still have 2 T-55s in the stash.

Cheers

Well in the end it looks like we may have had more T-54/55's than T-62's finished, wasn't looking that way for a while!

A great campaign that got me to finally finish a build and use the weathering products I've been amassing for the last couple of years.
Thanks to everyone involved and of course a big thank you to Paul for starting the campaign and being such a great host to us all, cheers mate! Plus he put together a pretty flipping decent Tiran for our viewing pleasure, nice work!

Cheers everyone, hope to see you on the big A more often from here on....

Dang, so close and yet so far. Car troubles had me busy and stressed enough that I just plain didn't have time to even look at my kit but it was a great run and I'll have it finished for my local club contest in June at any rate.

Thanks for letting g me tag along, its been great watching some of these builds develop.
