can one build be used for two campaigns?

There's a campaign for "big guns" that mentions more time for a rail gun.

So, could a Leopold build be used for both?

Dave usually the rule is1 build 1 campaign but if you were going to put the Leopold in a diorama with some figures and service vehicles I would allow that type of entry

Interested in this.
Does it have to be military?
Does it have to be armored?

Sal: Yeah, its an oldie alright. The period pics I've seen thus far have the frame antenna, while the kit doesn't seem to have one.
I'd better get some more reading done on this.

Kimmo: Cool! we can do a tandem build. Please don't let my choice dampen your enthusiasm for this. Just build as you please.

Here's another likely candidate:

I read that it was intended as railway protection and that a couple of these went into prototype stage. As I read it can do 100kph, now that's fast!
Just by the pic, it appears to be a simple scratch project (?) -- I guess more research is in order.

I didn't know that there can be lot of potential subjects for this campaign:

And this surely is one cool ride:

Count me in too. I believe I will build the Panther steel wheeled version - Tamiya or Dragon/Cyber Hobby if there is one like that.

I have a Techmod T-50 that has steel roadwheels, like the WWII Russian heavies (KV and IS tanks). I have sort of started the t-50, in that I have glue track shoes together along with 3 of the hollow guide teeth. Based on the time it took to me to get that much cut off the sprue, cleaned up and assembled, if I start now, I should have enough track finished by the time the campaign starts to do one side when the campaign actually begins, with the largest impediment being that I will go much starker and more loudly raving nuts somewhere in the first three weeks or so, given my leisurely pace of building . . .
Fortunately, I have a fall back; the Dragon German Railway Flatbed Typ Ommr (2 Axle) with MG Crew, kit # 6085, still in the shrinkwrap and untouched by my plastic-mangling fingers. Think I'll go with Plan B . . .

Wow, that was a quick approval -- I've signed up!

Sal, I recall from earlier in the thread that what-ifs are welcome -- but the posted rules and regs doesn't mention it
Maybe you need to clarify for the folks who are planning for such builds.

Cheers,

Tat

I'm considering doing something from the first railroad era, during the American War Between the States. I have an old Rivarossi 4-4-0 "Reno" or a 2-4-0 "Bowker" that I can back date to the 1860's without too much trouble and letter it for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. I have plans to scratch build a rail gun car - cannon mounted on a flat with steel clad armor over wood.

This is the type of rail gun car I have in mind. I've got plenty of scale wood, nut/bolt castings, and truss rod queen-posts plus an Airfix 1/76 scale civil war cannon.
The drawing depicts a naval cannon but I'll use a field gun instead.

The ribbon size is around 500x200, normal campaign ribbon size is 50x20. I can email the design to one of the administrators.

So I was thinking about shifting more towards a rail topic than a tank with steel wheels. I'm thinking about picking up a flatbed car of some manufacture and cutting it in half. Position it so it looks like two cars with half out of scene.

If it is allowed, I was thinking about getting fancy and making it look like it had derailed, a victim of either partisans or air attacks. Of course, I'd have the rail cars' cargo damaged as well. Maybe even get doubly clever and include a steel wheeled panzer as part of the cargo.

Sounds like it will make a great diorama Alex looking forward to seeing it come together

Sal,
Quick question. What constitutes a steel wheeled tank? I know the Panthers and various Tigers qualify. What about the Panzer IV variants like a Brummbar that has the front half of its wheels as steel wheels? I'm assuming steel return rollers, like those on a later StuG and Panzer 4, don't qualify. And a T34, does it have to be all steel wheels or can it be mixed?
