Hi.
Small update on the re-build gondola. Both fronts had a serious change. Detail from Trumpeter is lousy.
A lot of scratchwork and that is what I like the most nowadays.
Also started on the Tamiya kit. 20mm. Flakvierling 38, that will go on top. Tomorrow there will be more news.

Still a very nice kit. With some little adjustments it will be perfect.

Porgress at one front. Hook, steps from some brass leftovers, little handles for the breaksystem.

Robert Jan

Hi.
Love the Panzertrain. I've been reading some articles about Panzertrains, interesting material.
3 out of 5 sets arrived today, to complete my build for this campaign.

Some freight for my railcar, a crane to go with the L4500A from Zvezda my future railtruck.

Almost finished the Flak. Still some painting on the 4 barrels.

I cut off the closed end of the barrels. Took 4 pcs. of brass 0.1mm sheet. Rolled them in to points and soldered them.

Back to the workingbench.

Hi.
Some progress on the railtruck. I took the Zvezda kit and build the deck of the truck. This will be the base for the crane.
Calibre has some fine resin, but not without problems. Due to my mistake at first I destroyed a part. I had to change it anyway, so not a worse case scenario. Nevertheless I ended up here, as shown in the picture.

Back to the workbench.

Welcome to the tracks BUruk,, that looks like a really cool kit I wish someone would make that in 1/35 scale

Not 35, but 48-scale I want to make.

I have assambled parts easily and reserved for painting.

Very nice Burak. 1/48 Scale allows even a bigger panzertrain.
Noticed that the details look pretty good.

Hi.
Building the Steel Wheels there is one thing that was missing.
A real train. I decided to get my Trump BR52 in to action.
Been on my shelf for a year now, so it's time to dress the lady up. Ordered the PE at Eduard and some add resin I will have buy from LZ.
So a picture of the box.

Did get me some info on this War machine and read a build log on Twenot.nl
This mighty machine is quit a challenge to build, because Trump made some big mistakes, if you want to build realistic locomotive.
Been busy with the railtruck. Waiting for the conversion set from PlusModell. I changed some things and details. Wooden deck is almost ready now.

Some tools like cables, boxes and hooks will be added to the deck. Next job is to get the crane in position.
Painted already, but I have to wait with construction. Angle and lenght of the boom comes first.

Robert Jan

Robert,
I'm really enjoying watching your work. I tried to build a flak car some time back...it's actually sitting on a display shelf as a normal flatcar. Some very nice detail work. I'm also liking the crane. I've been looking for something like that for another project (Extreme Trucks Campaign). I might have to look in to it or try to scratch something up.

Thank you Alex.
I'm having a lot of fun joining this campaign. Took some time to find my entrance to build such a diorama.
There is so much info about the trains in W.W.II, it's hard to decide what to build. But I'm going to lay down some tracks this weekend, so that there will be a base to work from.
Next update will show what I mean.

Hi.
BR52 is on the table already, and some changes during this build, in relation to the original, are just normal. Over 6000 were build and all machines had some changes.
I made some changes at the front of the train as a start. Electric wires for the lanterns are correct now, Connectors for the air hoses also. Scratched from bits and pieces of styrene. Fenders on both sides are mounted.

Some pictures.

So far so good.

Robert this is really turning into some project I'm really looking forward to seeing completed
I haven't really made much progress on my build I need to get moving on the groundwork and I need to start that with a piece of wood from outside but we have been getting a lot of snow here lately so it's on hold

Hi.
Some progress on the BR52.
First paint is on and a start on weathering.
67cm in lenght and you can see that there is still a lot to do.
Boiler, firebox and cabin + interior are on after I finished the railtruck. conversion is on it's way.

Pictures...

I love the dirty, greasy and leaking machine she becomes.

Well, time to get started on the campaign I designed the ribbon for. Here is the first item that I'll be working on. It is a Peco On30 1/43 scale open narrow gauge goods wagon.

Other rolling stock to follow.

Hi.
Glad to see some more train stuff. My conversionset came in yesterday. A hell of a kit to get together. Some problems with the axles. I had to strip some of the build model. But anyway, rearaxle is ok now.

Next job is to mount the front. There is no stearing on such a truck, so I have to adjust that. Buffers are ready and some nice details, like a horn on top will give that extra detail.
More pictures later this weekend.

Hi. Steel wheels are on. Front wheels were less trouble. Still a dry fit and I'm working on the doors and front of the Mercedes. But it's getting somewhere now.

Progress on the railtruck.
After a big struggle with the cabin, a very nasty fit, truck is close to call it ready.

Pictures.

Focus on the back of the truck and the tiny parts now.
When finished the crane will get in place.

Some further progress on the railtruck.
Not finished yet, but close to call it done.
Planning for a base to make a decent presentation.
Some pictures...

Crane is a dry fit. I'm making something to lift, so there will be a realistic tension on the cables. To keep it that way, very thin CA does the trick. Later on a wash gives some colour.
Back to the workbench. there is still a lot to do.

Thanks.
Railtrucks made by Mercedes were put on transport to the Ukraine in 1941/42 to serve the Reichsbahn. Combination with the crane, I'm not sure about that.
