I truly love the show and as a modeler what would be the best way to make "walkers"

I would like to do this in 1:35 scale so if anybody has any ideas please let me know

Watch any movie with zombies in it. Paint and modify the figures accordingly.

I found some zombie toys at a local comic book store recently that measure up at just under 1/35 scale. They are obviously just toys, poorly sculpted at that. But how good do zombies really need to look?

They look like you could probably find them at dollar stores and the like as well.

I've been doing some experimenting with them lately. Expect to see more (probably on here somewhere) soon-ish.Some putty and GW 'Greenstuff' and limb mods are shaping things up nicely. Plus you get about 20 of them so a horde can be made up quicker.

You could replicate the scene with Rick and the Chieftain.

Some other fella did it with a 1/18 M1

You might want to try an ambulance or bus. These seem to be classic "zombie" vehicles. Really, any emergency vehicle.

Sorry Frank, I can't seem to find the wrapper they came in at the moment to try and Google it. Like I said they came from a comic store, looked like cheap mass produced 'plastic soldier' type zombies.

I will keep looking for the packaging, but I've never been able to find much in 1/35 online so far.

There was post, here that described the zombies you mention in detai. I believe it was part of one of the "end of days" campaigns. I would look it up, for you; but I can't seem to master this site's search engine.

I think I found the one you had in mind in the EoD2 campaign, Matt. However, they aren't the same ones. I've managed to get a few pictures taken:

Five poses, twenty zombies total. The plastic is soft and horrible to work with and only responds to super-glue.

They are also a little smaller than 1/35 scale, this being a comparison to the 'zombified' ICM 1/35 figure I've been working on.

But after the legs have been lengthened and with some careful paint, they will make a good horde.

Frank; Still no online link that I can find for you, sorry. Will keep trying to find the packaging they came in for you.

If you don't mind upscaling to 1/24 then these might fit the bill....

At " Product Dimensions: 0.8 x 1.5 x 2.5 inches high, " they come close to 1:35.

Hi Frank, I'm working on a Zombie Apocalypse dio over on the EOD campaign. I purchased a Box 'O Zombies here http://boxozombies.bigcartel.com/product/box-o-zombies-set-1

This is a photo of my truck with the zombies

Altho this image is a bit blurred, you can get the size difference between the zombies and a 1/35 scale figure

anyway, hope this helps.

Whew, I'm glad the rest of you were on top of this. I didn't know what scale the ones from Amazon were. They just look like well detailed figures to me. I may even get a set.

At 2.5" tall for both the Amazon set and the Box o' Zombies, and taking an eighth of an inch off for the base, that works out to 83" tall in 1/35, which is just short of seven feet tall.

Those M.A.I.M. figures look great. Faces made need some additional decomposing.

Games Workshop had zombies for their Warhammer Undead army. Not sure how they will compare to 1/35.
