Hi there,
here's a new campaign proposal, it will cover all aspects of desert warfare from the Zulu war up till today.
Any scale
Any vehicle (including Aircraft)
No started kits
Any nationality
All extra materials or OOB

Timeframe from April 01 2014 to September 30 2014

I hope this hasn't been done up until now, at least I didn't see anything on the last 4 Forum pages

Let me know what you all think

Hmmm... maybe, a desertized helicopter?

Since my 'Copters 'N Choppers Campaign' idea didn't fly (get it ) and then was stolen and re-copied into another Campaign I must push some heli's through the old workbench. Just to be spiteful. And I am.

Must they be a military/combat heli? Like, a converted transport helicopter? Or the H-21 "Flying Banana" in a desert campaign?

If not... yes, and I am in.

Hey Jeff T that was a shame about the copter campaign, feel for you buddy. You should do a civvie copter in the desert....but then it might get moved lol.
I would be interested in this one tho, a tank of some sort I would think 1/35 scale.

O.k lads, looks not too bad at the moment. We only need another 3 and I'll submit it.

Jeff, of coarse you can do a chopper , as long as it desert themed

I'll gladly sign myself up for this. I've had my eye on doing either a Sho't Centurion or a Merkava some time and this campaign would fit perfectly.

It's all good Pete and I thank you for your support! I do hope they don't get off the ground at all!

I think this will be another sleeper Campaign for sure. I love desert themed vehicles and I know we can come up with some good builds here.

I may do El Alamein as well. My other thoughts offhand are a Matilda or Challenger II. There are really a lot of good options.

Paul, did you extend an invite to Aeroscale and Historicus Forma?

Hi Jeremy, no what is the best way to do that without having to sign into those forums and write everything again?

Or is there a trick you Admin guys can pull?

John, thanks for the fast reaction my friend.

I'm all signed up I was thinking a Pz IV or a Dragon Tiger
And for those WWII fans, I am currently reading An Army at Dawn
The War in North Africa, 1942-1943, by Rick Atkison, an outstanding book that I highly recommend

Thanks Paul !

Just pick the text from your intro, add the link for the Campaign page and post a new thread in Aeroscale & Historicus, it's quite simple as the Campaign is already approved.

I might be interested in, but I am a bit confused, the time period is 1879 to the present, but only mention vehicles; are figures/busts/dios without vehicles welcome?

So that's what I screwed up this time.
Yes of course figures/busts/and dios without vehicles are allowed, I'd love to see some of those figures painted as the 2nd Warricks on foot or the Royal Engineers or even a Zulu warrior, hope someone pulls that off.
I'll even accept a pair of mules, harnessed and towing an ammo cart.
