It's kind of unusual for me to be moving this fast on something, but I have this model in another blog that has a deadline rapidly approaching, so.....
Detail bits on the hull hatches, mantlet, turret. Brass is On the Mark, dug it out of the stash where it had been sitting for years, probably.

Turret is now textured and ready for more detail.

Hi guys,

I'm definitely in! But I'm undecided between the Merk 2D, Magach Gal Batash or 3D LIC. Any suggestions?

Dinesh,

Fear not, we were all new at one point! To enlist, go to the campaign page here. Make sure you're logged in by looking in the upper right hand corner (sometimes even if you're logged in to the forums page, you might not be on the campaign page). Once you're logged in, you should see a button on the right side of the page that says "enlist". Click that and you're in! Welcome!

Michael,

Done! Thanks very much for the assist.

IDF armor has always been popular in Singapore, doubtless due to the close links of both forces. That and because IDF armor just looks the business!

Thanks again and looking forward to my first campaign build.

Sweet, this is looking to be a very well subscribed campaign. I'm really looking for ward to seeing all the builds.
I had a little time with mine last night, added the brush guards, blanket rack on the back, and did a little work on the turret. Tracks are test-fitted.
Next is tools, turret details, exhaust deflector, stowage, then primer.

This has been a pleasingly simple build so far, hope it stays that way....

things seem a little quiet here.
here is an update shot of my Merkava.
I have done most of the large items and I'm saving the fragile bits for last (like the ball and chain). I'm about to start on the tracks.
I'm really liking this kit, it's almost building itself.

Would an IDF M50 or M51 Isherman, sold to, and modified by, the country of Chile (1980s) be worthy to build? Or is this restricted to straight out IDF?

Oh yea, even though I say the vehicle is 'on the production line', it has not been started. Seem the workers haven't woke up from the siesta (I'm a lazy builder).

Looky what landed on my doorstep for a build review:

The bags marked "new" are the revised parts. I think I know what I'M doing for the campaign! I'm leaning towards marking it as F-15D 957, the highest scoring Israeli (and I believe world) F-15 with 4 1/2 kills. I have a couple of different decal options for the aircraft from an older Cutting Edge sheet and a very nice IsraDecal sheet.

Won't be starting until early November as I'm actually going to Israel for a couple of weeks starting next Saturday. But I'm really looking forward to getting at this one. I'll certainly have inspiration after the trip!

The things that have gone missing from my workbench.....
Some more details added last night, tools, turret stuff.

It's almost time to start digging through my IDF decals, pretty sure I have what I need.

I'll ask the question again since it seemed to go unnoticed the first time...

Would an IDF M50 or M51 Isherman, sold to, and modified by, the country of Chile (1980s), be worthy to build? Or is this restricted to straight out IDF only?

I just ordered the HobbyBoss Merkava mk.IIID and can't think of a better reason to build it. I expect it to arrive late next month.

Lots of Merks..... cool.
I made a pretty basic Sherman error, and used the wrong engine cover, so another Italeri parts kit gave it up for the cause.
I started using the Tamiya "early" cover, wrong filler locations, so a little surgery this morning and I have this:

...instead of this:

I looked at I don't know how many drawings and pics of this very area when I was placing the tools, and even when I was trimming the first cover to fit, and didn't trip to this. Oh well, now I can add the mesh inside the hull overhang that I forgot earlier cuz I haven't glued the new cover in yet.
