I've been trying to find the answer here and on some other modeling sites but came up with very few pointers... So I'd like to ask your advice.

I'm modeling M1025 from the early OIF. I have several Blast update sets for it and one of them includes rear shelf full of stowage. I learned the rear shelf was usually bolted directly to the rear hatch, and the stowage was tied using ratchet straps which were routed around the hatch. The M1025 did not have any attachment ponts on the rear hatch as the M1114, hence the ratchet straps.

Now, that could work for larger stowage items like rucksacks, ammo boxes or spare tires. However, the Blast stowage includes all sorts of smaller items (camelback, helmet, etc).



How to secure those to the rear hatch?

Well, helmets and Camelbaks have straps as well. They could be used to secure the items to the packs. But why you'd have those two items back there and not in the vehicle has me puzzled.

I'm puzzled as well. Especially since the camelback and some ALICE stuff seem not to be attached to anything, just lying there... I found another thing that might work, Humvee hatch stowage net:



However I think this one is used with footman loops as well.
