I have been told it is scheduled for release after the Horsa, not a great help to you, but it indicates it is still going to be released.

Interesting. At least, they claimed to plan to release it in the future. Thank you.

I'll believe it when it's in my hands.

According to this: http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/newkitnews/bronco.html the Horsa is coming, so let's hope that next is the MAXXPRO! Maybe by the end of year?

I am going to ask a kind of dumb question since Im sure its been answered SOMEWHERE but I cant find it quickly.... which version of the MAXX-PRO is in kit form out there?

There are three versions that I know of in production ( more than 3 but limiting it to the troop carrying version)... The original Maxx Pro with single rear axle and a forward drive axle, the Maxx Pro Plus, which included the MEAP armor and a dual rear wheel axle, and the Maxx Pro Dash, which I BELIEVE incorporates the entirely different TAK-4 suspension kit with the bigger tires currently fielded in A-stan. I have ridden in the last two versions, and would like to build them each. The Plus was my favorite, because I actually ran convoys in it and it never let us down, but the Dash gives a noticably better ride in rough terrain and I felt alot more safe from rollovers ( something the plus made you feel very uncomfortable in.... even though the dash feels like riding in a boat sometimes)
So, what versions are buildable in kit form and is there ever gonna be AM suspension and MEAP kits for the Plus?

The only one that has made it to kit form so far is the original Maxx-Pro by Kinetic.

It is a pretty nice kit. I reviewed it here. There is word that Kinetic is working on a Maxx-Pro Plus, and the parts laydown of their original kit would lead you to believe that.

We will see what else materializes.

TY Sir, I had read your review but I did not look at the pictures of the trees. After looking at them, I see now the front and rear axles are both there, so the original version fielded as you said. This is actually a good thing for me because to vismod this model into a plus would be doable with a set of dual rear wheels, a MEAP armor kit and a Wire mit kit ( ours were just mahogany wood with PVC Pipes )

I've photographed all of the versions very extensively for my walk around, and I can tell you it will take much more than just adding the dual wheels.

A little bit strange because the number of kit for MaxxPro is CB35142 while that of Horsa is CB35195.

Ahhh... I kept holding onto my money and refused to buy the Kinetic kit in the hopes of Bronco Maxx-pro. Almost two years passed and still no show. Bronco does make some good kits. Gotta keep the hope alive.

Instead of an initial version already released by Kinetic, a MaxxPro Dash would be more interesting.

Since Kinetic's release was less than stellar with wrong/soft detail, this release is very welcome. I see it gets the full "Bronco" treatment with a nearly complete interior, drivetrain and engine. It also looks like they got the cooperation of Navistar which will add to the accuracy, I hope! The built up example looks great. I don't really maintain a stash, because I don't actually know what I'll feel like building in a few years, but I will buy this one and move it to the front of my queue.

Regards,

Eric

It looks more complicated to build than Kinetic one. And it seems front axle can be orientable. More detail in interior with radios included

I'm definitely looking forward to this one. I have Legend's full resin kit, but Bronco looks really good and it could be fun to kitbash two kits into one model.

This certainly is a great news. I am glad that I've waited. So don't believe the rumor that Bronco is going out of business or the kit is going to be canceled.

Hi fellow hobbyists,
This Maxxpro kit is now on pre-order at both Luckymodel.com and Hobbyeasy.com. The expected release date is November 14, 2017. It's like $76-80 with shipping to the US. Slightly cheaper than the resin one from Legend.

Regards,
James
