Hey guys, here's Academy's Humvee. I used Legend's detail set, Live Resin's M4, Lots of scratch building for missing details, particularly under the roof and under turret components-which I took parts from the Bronco kit. Used various sizes of vinyl tubing and wires,Mineral water and Coke bottles from Meng..As well as a decal that someone (sorry I can't remember who) gave me for the Monitor Screen.

See my picasa album for build up https://picasaweb.google.com/114041413216204780388

Thank You Everyone!

I always look forward to your comments on my work, especially since it makes me very sad to let it go to my customers... I have another M1151 from Academy as well as one from Bronco and looking forward to completing them.

I am finally building something for myself for the 1st time which is a SF Toyota Hi Lux and that's going to be used for my Comic project.

Nick, it's one of the best M1151s I've ever seen. Great weathering! I expecially love the wheels. But at the other side - I think that the turret has too much paint chipping compared to the rest of the vehicle. It just doesn't fit. But generally, as I've written at the beginnig - very well done!

Kuba you made me realize I went overboard on the turret. The heck was I thinking?
I showed my customer but he didn't object.. I think he can touch up the turret if need be.

How did that happen....

congratulations for the excellent work, I'm thinking of building myself a M1151 academy, I would like to ask you if the kit wheels LiveResin you can mount on the model in question and possibly what other kit wheels. A greeting and continued so hello

Excellent work! I've been toying with the idea of building an M1151, but have to much on my bench and nothing to pair it with. I appreciate the hi-res photo of the interior. I actually have a paint match to that, in my collection. The weathering is spot on.

Thanks Guys,

Gans, the soft drinks decals are from DEF Model's Coolers http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=DEF-DM35013
But I used them on Meng's bottles. You'll have to cut the decals to fit..if I remember.http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=MG-SPS-002

Sergio,I don't have Live Resin's wheels but they are supposed to fit. I would think any recent manufacturer's wheels should fit all Humvee models without issues.

Matt, most of the interior won't be seen, I did have an initial problem gluing the Fire Doors as they didn't seem to line up right.
I also found that once I added Legends photoetch bits for the glass on the doors the roof couldn't fit tight, but it worked to my advantage since the doors could be mostly "snapped" in as my customer wanted to decide to open or close them.

As for chipping I'm finally going to use Chipping and Scratches effects from MIG and some nice sponges that should do the job.

Going to finish a Legend M1151 with SPARK and Pro Art old Special Forces kit and start soon on the Bronco M1114 Frag 5
