I have seen it and I suspect that the image service, postimages in this case, is causing it.

The post as such was not 100% irrelevant.

I may be wrong but I believe the hosting site has been messed with and these links are being generated there and pasted into threads such as this without the knowledge or consent of the poster..

Might want to check out this guy.
https://modelshipwrights.kitmaker.net/user.php?op=userinfo&uname=abhijit

Has a link in his profile to a site in India. His one post is a pretty generic "Thanks for sharing" message.

The evidence of being a dyed in the wool spammer was easy too find.
Message for spammer: Dye Steven!

The leatherwear-spammer tried to make a comeback, new full name and new callsign but it was the same old IP-nr.
I tanned his hide again

Someone has tanned AliHassans hide as well.
The leather business must be really slow since they need to spam forums like this ...

I did take a look at that one prior to the post here and I felt it offered some element of interest when it came to lighting your model display area. I also felt that as it was in the buy/sell forum and that the account had been done manually that I would leave it be unless they started to spam the site.

Don't bother with feeling guilty
I'd say it was more than 75% probability that this was a spammer i.e. a legitimate target.

Visit my website link went to a website which tries to convince people to invest their IRA in precious metals.
The sign-up IP was located in Cusco, Peru, and not Alabama US as claimed in the user profile.

My intent is not to make anyone feel guilty, it was just my thoughts on it.

You guys are good. I like watching you work. I sure wish you could do something about the "spam" telephone calls I receive. I must not have a life, I sometimes visit this column just to get a chuckle. I know, I should be building models or something, but there's just something satisfying about seeing a bad operator get slapped.😆

Russ in the UK I bought a BT phone that will not let a call through unless they disclose who they are. My cold calling and nuisance calls have dropped to zero. I assume something like it must be available in the US.
