I saw this at the Tamiya site. Printed bases on what appears to be standard size paper sheets.

Seems like a simple solution, but no mention of price.

I have two sets, they look great, and include a little texture. The are almost 3-d. I think I paid about $7 CDN for them each.

These have been out for a long time. They're not bad, but the "raised" pattern is really only paper thin. I still prefer embossed plastic sheet.

The German model railroad guys have had these for decades already in HO scale. They can be very useful.

Ow, come on. These are easily selfmade. Takes a bit of effort, but the reward is much greater.

Xmas is a good time to find stuff you can use.
Check out the miniature village pieces.I found this at Canadian Tire,$15.Good for a year.Wish I'd found it before carving cobblestone into my North Africa dio.

Is that vacu-formed plastic sheet? Doesn't look like paper.

It's not paper.More of a rubber sheet,3 dimensional.
Get while you can.I was in Michaels this morning and they sell it for $30.$15 is a big saving.
