Thanks for the comments everyone!

Kurt: I know what you mean about the rubble being neatly placed around the building. I did wanted it to be a contrast between the ruined building and the "beautiful" nature but maybe i could mix them up a little!

Romain: I do want some color in the diorama. However, I still have not finished all the weathering so hopefully they will go from lemon to a more warm peach tone

Todays update has no bricks but a door and some window "covers":

PS. look closely and you can see a few of my bricks in production on the work bench!

Hi Johan,

I must say I like what I see! That figure looks super, so does the door and the shutter!!

I also like details like the Schmeisser lying near the driver's hatch..!

A lot of talent there!! Well done Sir!!

Still more bricks though..!!

Cheers

Romain

Hi Johan,

This looks great! Nicely done. Ahh, yes, the debris police! I'm in the middle of a build that yes, also keeps getting more and more debris. It can be tedious, but the results can be great. Romain's point about building a "fake" pile using styrofoam or something as a base for a pile of rubble is a good one. If you paint the "fake debris base" a dark color you can then add as much rubble you want on top of it and get a convincing look. The trick seems to be to get an overall form that looks right - that is, not a cone, but not too flat either -

Or, leave it as is!

Cheers
Nick
