Looks great, TOM, although one of the Jeep wheels appears to be sitting at a strange angle. Is that intentional--e.g.: battle damage?

-laughs- I noticed that after I posted it. No the wheel had come loose, was not intentional.

Here is my entry for this campaign. This will only be the 2nd Japanese WW II tank I've ever built.

Great choice with the Ka-Mi, it's an excellent kit. No major issues with the construction.

John, this kit is a joy. It's almost scary how fast it's going together! So simple after all the panzer madness!

Howdy Y'all
I'm a little closer to completing my IJN submarine. A little more painting and weathering should do it. I don't think there was a wood deck on this sub.

Take care,

Every one is doing great I see. Now that all is just about caught up on the review end, the work table has some space on it. I will try once again to get up pic's of a Pacific Guam dio I just finished up. And some progress pic's for the campaign too. The bunker is done, just needs that gray/green dry brushing. Some sandy ground work with 1 thin palm tree and another that lost it's top to our Navy. Then it's pff to the races with the figures. I'm trying for 5 Marines and 4 Japonesse troops on a 4X6 inch base with the bunker and 3 fuel drums. Plus all the little things that catch the eye. Best to all. bob d.

this kit is awesome. It goes together so fast I keep checking to see if I missed something. The upper hull is only dry fit to the bottom at this point so after paint I can glue the clear periscopes in place inside the hull.

Bob, glad to see you're still in business. The Ka-Mi is also coming along nicely, I think it's one of Dragon's nicer recent kits.

The turret is done. The only challenge with it was to bend the very narrow P/E strip. There is so little to grab to hold firm as you bend it!

Next up is primer and base coat.

Well, calling this one done:

Couldn't find the campaign photo gallery so if it's lurking out there, would appreciate if someone could point me toward it.

The Dragon Ha-Go is a nice little kit that goes together pretty easily, with only a few small issues to solve. My first time using DS tracks, and they were easier to work with than I had feared they might be. I still prefer indy links, but the DS tracks made for a pretty quick build. Not totally happy with how my mud turned out, but I really need to wrap this up and move on to some other campaigns.

Good luck with your builds!

nice looking build Mark. I built that one for a campaign last year and found it to be a really nice kit.

I couldn't find it either, Guy. John might need to ping the Campaigns Admin.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I see a couple things in the pictures that need touching up. Can't say enough good things about this kit.

Figures, I go on vacation to a place with wonky wi-fi (it did not like Armorama much for some reason) and issues come up... In the words of Sean Connery in A Bridge Too Far apologies for my enforced absence. I'll check in with the admins to get the gallery set up. Good to see everyone is making excellent progress and was playing nice while I was away. Now I got to get a move on with my own project, gahhhhhh.

Gents,

@Mark, your Ha-Go came out splendidly. The weathering looks great and really brings it to life.

@Guy, your Ka-Mi looks great. Really looks like a rolling pill box.

@Don, your sub looks great too. Looking forward to seeing some color and how you weather her.

Here is a litte update on the Fletcher Class Destroyer. Since starting I decided to convert the Tamiya USS Fletcher into the USS Heermann. A Square Bridge Fletcher Class Destroyer that played a pivotal part during the Battle for Leyte Gulf.

Well that's it for now. Everyones build looks great. Cant wait to see more.

Thanks John, pictures of finished tank now in the gallery.
@Dave, I built ships as a kid in the 60's and 70's. The work you ship builders do on here is amazing. Watching your progress closely.

Well, I'm late to the party, but better late than never. I'm throwing in my entry, a 1/72 Academy F6F-3/5, which I will build the later 5 version (the scheme on the box).

Looks like a nice, easy little kit. Here we go.

@Jeff, Welcome to the party. Better late than never!

Everyone else, those builds are coming along very nicely. The Fletcher build is especially impressive given the size of the PE parts. You ship guys do some amazing work.

Well my adult son just got back from a trip to Japan. He went to a some hobby shop and picked up a few goodies. He also said he saw a bunch of stuff for 100-250 yen and grab some of them since it was like 1 - 2 dollars each.

Anyway this is one of those. 250 Yen kits.
Yes it is in Oh My Gosh scale that I have never built but what the heck....... These old eyes need a challenge. So I thought I'd join the campaign.
This is Destroyer Akishimo served in the Battle of Leyte Golf and later in Nov 44 was damaged by B-25 while on escort duty.
