Looking at my photos I'd say the dozer is a Cat D7R, and the tractor towing the lowboy is an M983A4 LET. Most of the rest is civilian roadbuilding equipment I have not yet photographed.

Its all military equipment. Skipper is right the bulldozer is the new model D-7. The excavators are either L330 or 230 John Deere but are military purchases. The grader is a Cat, I forget the military style purchased. THe sheepsfoot and the roller with the sheepsfoot attachment are both military equipment. This is all equipment that would be company level stuff. My company in A-stan had everything BUT the D-7s... we had the older versions... from the 80s with a bolt on armor package. Incidentally some of the LETs ( with the 916 trailers) really brought back the memories!!!

The only two vehicles I didnt see that I would expect to would be a Cat 5 yard loader and an IHMEE BHL ( to the left in the picture)

John Wayne wearing my uniform in front of the burning pit I spent 2 months covering with dirt....

no grader?? no problem!! 5 yard CAT loader with fork attachments and a BIG ASS slab of concrete... road leveled!

IHMEE... improved high mobiity emplacement excavator (I think)

I wonder whats the purpose of the one-axle trailer behind the M983 (spare parts and tools?) and the flatrack container?

the trailer is most likely a welders trailer, and the boxy looking flat rack MIGHT be a new Field Repair Station for mechanic.

There's a similar trailer-mounted welding shop set featured on Youtube :

It's based on a M103A3 trailer chassis :

I think an obvious question has been overlooked here...

And here's my little walk around of it if anyone needs it. There are even some dimensions shown:

Ah. I think without even asking the question, the answer has appeared in another thread today.

Close enough. The actual question is, "Why would he already heave photos AND measurements of all of those things?"
