Hi Tim,
Thanks for providing the catchy background tune — perfect for cleaning up my workbench! 🎶🎶🎶🎺

So anyway, I just completed the 'Half Track in half a Year' campaign, and I'll be starting the 'Jeeps!' campaign shortly. In the meantime, this thread has been repaired, and the 'Four Amigos' are back on deck. ... Now where did I leave off? 🤔

Not quite yet. I've still got lots to do — figure painting and base. But thank you for checking out my work!

Cheers!🍺

Coming along really well Mike. Have enjoyed the view up to date.

Can't wait to see the end result.

However, the figures as they are remind me more of the chorus girls in Mel Brooks' 'Hitler Rap' than the 'Supremes'

Lol! ... Thanks for the kind words and the chuckle, Peter! Since the weather is improving around here, maybe I'll get motivated to work on the figures again.

Cheers!🍺

Hi guys, "Not dead yet!" 😆

Guess I've been MIA for just a little bit — been demoted to "lurker" status. ... Excuses: I've been caught-up with computer/software upgrades and various home projects — health has played a big part as well. Since I've only been dreaming of model building for several very long months now, I thought it time to pull myself up by the ol' bootstraps (slippers!) and try to get motivated once again. Since I'm all up to speed with computer hardware/software, now there's no excuse for not posting — only not building. Anyway, I got all "Photoshop" up in here, and I've prepared a quick motivational comparison overlay.

Original WWII image (inspiration) pulled from the web.

Background layer combined with an old converted model reference layer.

Now all I really need to do is swivel my ass from the computer desk 💻🖥 over to the workbench!🛠🎨

Cheers!🍺

Mike I love what you are doing here. The width indicator should be bent not straight, everything else is looking good .

OMG the Supremes are back in the studio!! (Obsc ref from a previous page) …although now they’re packin’ heat. Great to see you back Mike, cool p-shoppery too - could you knock off a couple of trams for me before you swivel off?

Thanks, guys for the welcome back and the kind comments, I do feed off of that!

@ Darren, please refer to page 3 for the more complete model; it has the jerry can fender rack, the model is painted — still needs a headlight lens, decals, a good desert dusting, and of course, the painted and weaponized Supremes.

Nice try, Tom Sawyer!😅 You've definitely had your work cut out for you over the past several months. It's incredible what you've achieved building and modifying those three beautiful Trams. Glad to be following along. Much respect.🙏🏽

Cheers!🍺

Hi guys.
Here's another image from the alignment department.📏📐🛠

Original image.

The model image has been superimposed over the original with reduced layer opacities for figure alignment.
This latest rendition may require a little eye-squinting.😝

The shooting angle isn't quite there yet, but I think you get the general idea. 📸

Cheers!🍺

It’s looking great Mike, as you say viewpoint needs to shift a couple of squintles to the right so the hood hinge is dead straight-on & that should also line up the port t*re too. Too cool if you could do an animation for this - morphing from the original image to the car breaking out & speeding at, over, or right past the viewer in a cloud of dust! Opens up a whole new world of bringing vehicles to life…

Not so much an animation, just a rudimentary slide show illustrating where the figures are, and where they need to be.
🍿Wait for it... wait for it...

Hit it, William DeVaughn! ... 🎶🎶🎶

Cheers!🍺
