Looking for images and info on the M2A3 Bradley tracks. Do track types differ ? Are they all the same with rubber pads ? Do they normally just wear flat as in the pads or do they chunk much? Have seen a few images but they just seem to go flat as they wear down. Looking at the meng M2A3 as a basis for the track but interested in feedback overall. Thanks for the info fellas.

All the M2A3's in my brigade have the double pad tracks. I'm not sure about pad wear because they are all new Bradleys. They are the same ones as in this link.

What year did the double pads come in?

I was looking at this version.

There's a bit of a discussion on the tracks in this thread, with photos, and some discussion as to what you can use.
I don't know when they were first fielded but I first saw them in 2013.

The "Bigfoot" tracks as you show in your second pic are still used on many modern Brads as well. They were on ones from 2 ID in Korea as late as last summer.

As to wear, they do wear down pretty evenly and don't chunk off much. They are all the same, metal base track w/rubber pads.

And even those are a dying breed. The good folks at Camp Casey tell me they're all being refitted most ricky tick. Two out of these three already have been. These are from August, when we traded artillery rounds with the North. I'm assuming you were there for the festivities?

At Ft. Hood, where I just completed a research related trip, they are not on a scheduled replacement schedule, but will all be switched out as the older track reaches its wear limits.

No, I wasn't there over the summer, but a friend was who sent me some pics.

Looks like someone needs to put out a set of indi-links and sprockets for the Diehl tracks. It seems that most of the fleet will have them soon.

Thanks for the info. Good to know on the typical wearing.

Good to know on the Bigfoot/double pad.
Now just need to find good images of the legacy tracks.
