I'll be building this for this campaign. I picked this up accidentally, I thought I was buying 1/35th sale. So this will go together quickly so I can get to the fun stuff. Painting and weathering.

Cheers,
Dustin

Thank you for making this a campaign, alright boys, lets get after it!!!! Also can a mod maybe change the title from Proposal to campaign.

Also does anyone have ideas for what the campaign ribbon should be? I'm thinking just the tamiya logo.

The Totaly Tamiya Campaign that was run a few years ago used the Tamiya logo as the ribbon so you might have to add a "2" to it

Thank you for the info!

Does anyone have any other ideas for the campaign ribbon? I was thinking the Tamiya logo as mentioned earlier, but we just add a 2 to it somewhere, since it's the second Tamiya campaign.

Sorry, seems like "2" doesn't tell much. Maybe 2016 or '16?
Sure if there's no chance for running few campaigns same year )

How about going retro with Tamiya's old logo?:

Agreed on this - maybe a '16 or 2016 can be incorporated on the regular Tamiya logo. Using the older logo may infer a throwback build of sorts.

I like it Pawel. Maybe just a little color in the empty blocks to better represent a campaign ribbon.

You can give underneath the red and white half and half.

Cool idea, Pawel. How about a red and blue background, like the Tamiya logo, and make your 'sprue' white?

I think we should give consideration to Pawel's Campaign ribbon suggestion! It's an original idea. Looking forward to participating in my first campaign.

Yep, Down with Pawel's ribbon design.

I'd also like to throw out a pitch for a change to the campaign rules to see if anyone is interested and the campaign leader is amenable: I think this would be an even more awesomer ( ) campaign if it was strictly OOB.

My rationale is that Tamiya has a well-earned reputation for creating high quality kits that balance ease of build with detail. I think if we allow AM products and other mods we lose much of the character that make Tamiya kits so distinctive. Anyone else got thoughts on this?

OOB, like aftermarket items, should be kept as an option. Use or don't use. Personally, I prefer some PE for my builds.

Mike

P.S. I'm in with one of three "versions" of the M8 HMC; the HMC, one mounted with a Sherman M34 mantlet, or the Recce version.
