Really nice work. I love the broken suspension ... that kitty looks tired!

Did those cupola periscopes come with the kit?

Hi, Bill! VERY NICE!!! And I'm not even a big Tiger fan!

This effort on Bill's part is PROOF POSITIVE of what can be done with a so-called "inferior/ancient" kit such as the ACADEMY "Late" Tiger I! Who SAYS that you HAVE TO use one of the multitudinous DRAGON Tiger Is to produce a beautiful model?

Once again, Bill- KUDOS!!!

Thank you all. Yes, David, those are kit periscopes (which are solid and not clear). I can't imagine using one of the beautiful new Tigers David has helped DML get right on a "Panzer wreck." But this one was sure fun to do.

Well, I have to say, they look nothing like the real periscopes.

Could you be more specific? Do you mean the outer "shell" portion or the inner portion that extends down from the turret roof?

Hi Bill
Excellent build. It looks very much like the real thing in the old picture. You should be proud sir.

The inner part looks wrong.
The real ones didn't have an opaque bar down the middle. And they were less prominent than what I see in the kit.

Hi Bill. Really nice build, especially as you modelled it on a photograph and then added the background details to make a scene of it. I was wondering why you have it so far to the left and hanging over the edge when there is a lot of empty space in front of it. Have you plans to add somethign else here? Figures?

This is a really great build and diorama. I'm building the same kit, and enjoying it even if there are innaccuracies with the periscopes.

Hi, Frank, thanks for your kind praise. The photo shows the tank more in front of the collapsed building to its left. I was stuck with the dimensions of the MiniArt kit, so it leaves some space in front of the tank. I have pondered putting a figure or two there, but haven't come up with anything that excites me yet.

Well, thanks to the Panzerwrecks folks, there seem to be far more photos of wrecked German tanks. And since the Germans had so many more varieties of tanks, there is also more to choose from.
