I have the Legends EOD Controller, which looks to be USA figure. Using a Mr Color C045 sail for a base color. I wanted to add CrossDelta Digi camo. http://store.spruebrothers.com/product_p/cxdmil35012.htm

Then was thinking of using Tamiya XF-57 Buff for the molle vest and a little darker buff color for the boots.

Does this seem reasonable or anyone have any better suggestions?

That would be correct for a US Army Soldier in Iraq or up to about current times anywhere except Afghanistan. He is wearing a UCP (Universal Camo Pattern) ACU (Army Combat Uniform). Like below.

For A'stan, the Multi-Cam or OCP (Operational Camo Pattern) is worn there. It look similar to the old Woodland BDU pattern, but on the ACU cut of uniform with lower calf and upper sleeve pockets, among other changes.

Also, EOD soldiers usually have an EOD patch on the left shoulder pocket of their ACU as well to ID them (like above).

No, the tan MOLLE vest is not correct for US Army troops. The US Army matches the vest with the same camo as the uniform. By the time ACUs were issued, vests and uniforms matched. The woodland vest w/DCUs was a feature from early in on ('03 - '06ish) in Iraq.

The USMC wears a tan vest (Coyote Brown).

Depends...

For the last few years, the USN has worn the same uniforms and gear as the Marines. I have seen them wear Army uniforms and gear if they are supporting a specific Army unit also. I would go w/USMC uniforms and gear though. No one will say you are wrong then.

Prior to the last few years, (most of their time in Iraq and A'stan), they wore 3-color DCUs (Desert Camo Uniforms) and Coyote Brown vests. If I were doing an Iraq scene, this is how I would do them.

From what I have seen googleing Navy EOD, closer to the Marines. I will defer to others if that is not correct.

I won't mind switching to a Marine but I am pretty sure this is a Army uniform, correct? Looks like the second pic with the elbow pads.

Yes, the Legend figure looks to be wearing Army ACUs.
