With much material failing to get through to North Africa by 1943, and much captured material used by the DAK, I wondered how the DAK soldiers must have looked. Did they end up wearing European uniforms, or captured Allied ones? Desert uniforms presumably weren't much needed in Tunisia.

Germans and Italians surrendering. Uniforms don't look too bad.

There was a real cool documentary about German POW'S in America. It was pretty cool to see whole train loads pulling into a small Alabama town and marching in good order to the camp, most were captured in Tunisia wearing the DAK uniform and soft cap.

Thanks! Amazingly enough, you'd think that there'd be plenty of models of DAK figures, but I can find hardly any.

There was a prison camp in Louisiana, Mo. ,where my mom lived. The prisoners worked at the Stark Bros. orchards. She said a lot of them were Italians. Wayne

I really don't understand how anyone could think the DAK was under represented.
