As Pro Art have gone out of business and it's getting harder to find their excellent modern radio sets I decided to order the Blast Models "MRAP" radio set.

Now I'm no expert on the technicalities of modern radios and can't even identify all the components. However a lot of the newer kits come with very spartan interiors but tons of aerials so I like to add some radio gear on the inside. I won't claim to get it right or accurate but it looks good to me. Anyway, this set arrives in a small ziplock bag with very thin pour blocks which snap off easily. The details look crisp and there is hardly any flash.

To me they look the business. Just need to build something to put them in now.

While I was at it I also ordered Blast's set of Pelican cases and cooler boxes

One can never have too much stowage in the spares box. Don't know how I will pant this to look like water bottles in ice though

The radios and pelican cases looks really good as usual.. I should have wanted a bigger pelican case for my jerrv cougar but you can not always get what you want...
Thanks for the pictures

Nice radios and accessories.. I've always wondered why it's so rare to find good modern radio sets for MRAPs.. even by the manufacturers who make the MRAP kits themselves?

I like the water bottles in the ice.. nice touch

The radio set is not new, but not reviewed in the site before. The cases are a new addition to the Blast range. Ordered them Friday had them by Wednesday from Blast direct

Where did you order these from? I'm looking for their DUKE antennas and I can't seem to locate them.

You can order all Blast models things directly from blast model webshop, they are very good and always fast shipping, same day or the day after.. The only bad thing for you is that the shipping cost will maybe be high from France to USA..

Thank you Hisham. Is there a dealer that sells the DUKE antennas in the US?
