They look usable... The AK-47's and the bearded heads can be very useful

They do look pretty good. I like the options of weapons that make the figures usable from the Soviet invasion "Freedom Fighter" days, up through modern "Taliban" times.

Is it just me but do they have remarkably small heads? I've never seen Talibs or Mujahadin with Lee Enfield IV's only the SMLE III which isn't that common a weapon. Looking at their dress and poses I'd think that these would be of more use as farmers than terrorists with them literally standing there doing nothing, Substitute some rakes, hoes etc for the weapons and you've got some farmers to speak to NATO troops. You'd think if they were going to release Afghans to go with the vehicles and troops that are available to model Op Herrick they'd perhaps have released something a bit more interesting. In kinetic poses or even laying an IED? Bit of a disappointment

Hi Karl. You're right, they have pinheads. If you shaved off their beards they'd look like Zika babies. The poses aren't ideal either. Two look like they are in the middle of port arms.

Cheers!

I'll wait to see a review of the actual plastic before passing final judgment on them.

Have to admit the heads look a little small compared with the size of the hands.B and D are pretty much the same figure, bit different beard.
Think I'll save my money.

The heads may be small compared to these hands.. or the other way around, the hands are too big.. which is something that I remember was found in other Trumpeter figures... Anyway, I think I'll get a set and use the heads with other figures... can't find too many (cheap plastic) bearded heads around.. and I can use the AK's too
