Thanks for accepting me in.

Some very interesting choices in kits here. So many varied genre being built. It will be great to participate and pick up a few tips along the way (like how to fill the Miniart buildings!).

Erik that Draken looks fantastic.

And well, everything everyone is building looks great really.

Hopefully I'll have something to share over the weekend

Nothing beats basic Black Peter. Looking good.

Here is some progress on my build. The lower hull and chassis assembly of the Saurer RR-7. Apart some vague instructions, no probs with this part of the build so far.

Some of the other parts in progress. The rear doors had fine sink marks on them but fortunately not where filling and sanding would remove any detail. You can also see the rear idler where I have added the hub and retaining bolts on the inside, and the other yet to be done for comparison. This area will be quite visible, so the detail will be seen.

I will be 'accurising' this build a bit as I go

The main reason I hadn't built this kit before was the tyres on the road wheels - actual rubber. I still remember my Tamiya 30 CWT Chevy and what happened to those wheels (any oldies out there will know what I mean). So I have held off until replacement became available. I had read some good reviews of the Panzer Art set, so I purchased them from an on line retailer (a reputable one). Now I have looked at them, either I got a dud set, or the reviews were far kinder than they should be. "...free of blemishes and air holes" - pigs bottom !!!....

The two on the right have air holes in the rim and one has raised resin fault in the inner rim. The two on the left have raised resin faults. The one on its side has a massive air hole on the tyre side, 30 degrees away from the poor plug, and also has faults on the rim like the others... 5 out of 5 with casting faults....

Yes these are the new revised version Re 35-346, said to fit the three manufacturers of kits of this vehicle .... ahem, really?? Want to look again Panzer Art? I believe your location holes are a tad too big for the Hobby Boss kit

and way too deep. Available photos clearly show these would be way too close to the tracks if fitted directly to the hub mounts of the kit. No, PA, the Hobby Boss Inner rim does not fit straight in yours to space them out - you have to trim off the inner locating rim on the inside of the kit ones to make them shallower and then add spacers around the inner rim to get these to fit the right depth and be central.

Something to remember if you ever get around to building your kit and want replacement wheels Clayton.

Peter B....thanks for the heads up, I was always thinking of building it in track mode, with the wheels hanging up...

Progress continues. She's on her road wheels, and the motors and speaker are installed.

I came across the picture of an old IDF Sherman on the Lebanon border a while back and Ive wanted to recreate this scene ever since. I will be using the Cyber Hobby M50 Super Sherman for the build. I am planning on incorporating a small base for this to include the chain link fence. I normally do not do bases or dioramas, but I figured it was time to dabble in it. The graffiti style painting of the M50 is also quite unique and interesting.

Well, mates, I've nearly finished this black beauty
The canopy fit is not really ok yet. I must work a little on the top of the ejection seat.

Great idea with the Sherman, Shawn. Very unique color scheme and special weathering. I think it will be a difficult job, but I am sure you will pull it of.

Mark, that panzer IV is looking great! What a beast. I did not know it could drive.

This turned into an 'everything that could go wrong' kit. Fit problems, wonky decals, etc.

Aside from a touch up or two, I am done.
