Hi,

Cause i am new on this forum i decided to show you, what i am working on. It's BTR-70 from Trumpeter in 1/35 scale. I want to build vehicle from soviet war in Afganistan (1979-1989). Construction is completed, now i started painting process, first step was to paint interior.

I was wondering if you had any problems building the kit and how much of the interior is visible when you have glued the two halves of the hull together?

with this model, you don't need to glue the upper hull to the lower hull. the hull fits perfectly on top, so it can be remove to view the interior, without damaging anything.

but be careful,if the turret isn't glued to the upper hull, it can fall off by accident if you're not careful.

It's exactly like Hyder Hathaf said, upper hull fit perfectly to the lower hull, but it can easily fall off. I had no problems in the construction of this model, everything fit perfectly. I made only few modyfications by myself, like replacement of plastic handles by wire, but it wasn't necessary.

I don't know yet if i will glue lower hull with upper hull, but if i will, not much of the interior will be visible, as you can see on the photos below:

Hi,
good work so far, but the bags are glossy and with a too visible line of the closure of the molds, and risk to turn into a weak point of the model. I suggest to rework them.

Hi;

The Packs are also wrong for the time period that you have chosen, you need to try and source one of the early DML (Dragon) figure sets that were for that period. It also gives you the weapon's and correct packs, or try one of there Soviet weapon's sets, that way you could depict some of the AKM & AK-74s and also display some spare Mags lying around with some other personal gear. that's just IMHO !
Your off to A Great Build-- Good luck !!

CHEERS; MIKE.
