The latest armor from Italeri is a WWII-era medium tank combined with infantry figures.

The decals look new , not too sure about the troops , but the tank kit is old . I think I built this baby back in the late 70s , I remember that crappy tank commander figure . Here I was hoping this kit was in 1/56 ( 28mm )like their Tiger I and Churchill for the Bolt Action game

It was first issued in 1969 I believe, and reboxed in the early 70s

It was released circa 1971, but the actual kit was ahead of its time and still builds up nicely. Tracks suck rock, but metal and plastic alternatives are available.

I remember first building the M13 very early 70s, and have continued building them to this day. It was like their Crusader a fantastic kit with very fine moulding and detail, the tracks are more than acceptable. Well done Italeri, at leat it is not another bloody panzer like Dragon, yawn!

I still have one in the stash...geech, gotta be 35 years old now. Built a couple in the past as well and I still consider it a fine build by today's standard. With the aftermarket the way it is today, a even better build can be obtained!

More old junk from a manufacturer who refuses to leave the 1970's. I recently traded a modeler some of my resin items for a Tamiya Semovente SP gun and I was pissed when I opened the box that it was an old "Italeri" kit reboxed by Tamiya with some new figures. That really peeved me off since Tamiya is charging $40.00+ for that old Italeri kit. I have not purchased an Italeri kit since 1980's and I will never do so again as long as they continue to stay in the 1970's and still charge over $40.00 for that old junk. Who buys this old stuff anyway?

I have both the Tamiya and Italeri Sermovente and they are different kits. In fact the Tamiya kit was updated about ten years ago with a new suspension and detail parts including photoetch. And I got mine from Japan via Amazon for half that with free postage.

It's nice to see Italeri finally admit their kit is an M14/41. Tamiya made the changes to back-date theirs to a proper M13/40 and give it new link and length track. But Italeri is offering up the old vinyl stuff. Getting awfully flashy these days. Come on they made new link and length for the Panzer 38(t) series, Chaffee and Pzkpfw IV why not the pride of the Italian army!

Cool how offering a set of figures makes a crappy old kit somehow a new armour offering from Italeri. Don't get me wrong, Italeri does make some respectable kits, but this isn't really one of them. "Long of tooth" might be the kindest, accurate thing to say when describing them. Hoping that they'll actually do new holds some time soon!

Both Tamiya and Italeri have had offerings each of the Italian M13 series Carro Armato and of the Semovente self-propelled gun since the 70's. I have built all, being a fan of Italian armor, and can say that the Italeri kits build into a more accurate rendition in both cases over the Tamiya offerings. I still have several in my stash choosing to pass on the Tamiya's. This ol' Italeri still stands the test of time and builds into a respectful model out of the box and dresses up nicely with the many resin, metal and PE enhancements now available. I'm only surprised to see this boxed with the Italeri label! I thought Italeri had sold the molds to Zvezda.

Wasn't a sale, just a lease. Italeri did a special edition about five years ago with a new decal sheet. But this is the first to finally admit that the kit is as it always was, a M14/41.
