Got this one finished and in the photo booth. It really is a great kit with no major problems, may possibly add a mine detection device when it goes on the diorama eventually. Also might be worth saying that the doors and the rear boot section are only tacked in with a bit of pva in case I have to open them later which is why you might spot a bit of a gap.

Thanks for looking

Kit manufacturer: academy
Scale: 1/35
Type: M1151 Humvee
Extras used: DEF models resin sagged wheels
Paints and colours used: MRP 080 and various tamiya. Weathered with mig pigments and ak washes

Adam, this really turned out nice. You weathering is near perfect. The M1151, hell, any HMMWV is a favorite of mine.

Very successful model. Interesting dust effects and good painting. The chassis frame with the bumper and airconditioner grill should be black. BFT and DUKE Antennas have an incorrect color. No cable BFT antenna. Bonnet clips are made of plastic and metal parts, so they should be painted differently.

Hi, Adam! Good building and painting job, I also enjoyed the light weathered efect (even I prefer a heavy one). I built this kit a few years ago, a straightfoward kit, no adjustment, fit, gaps issues, etc. But I don't paint the windows to replicate bulletproof glass like you, nice touch.
This kit allows use of many aftermarkets, but, like you, I did not use any, and I just do some scrath to improve it.

With the correct observations made by Piotr, I also recommend that you check the sagged part of the tires. Some of then do not seem to be placed on the floor, looking weird.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Piotr i will try and rectify the things you mentioned before it goes on my diorama.

Audren, the wheels must have moved during the photoshoot, ive since glued them in position.

Hello,

I sorry for my English,

I have a problem with the painting of the windows of my vehicle and seeing the excellent work you do, I get myself to ask a tip to get to your result.

In advance thank you for your answer

cordially

Wow, that's an eye-catcher, looks great! The washes really bring out the details and weathering effects on the paint job.

Bruno, if you want flawless Windows without having to use a brush or airbrush go to coloredfilms.com. Their tints come in any color imaginable and are perfectly clear. The best part is they will let you order two sample sheets of any color for a couple of dollars. They have colors perfect for armored glass in different greens, blues and for the M-ATV they have the perfect yellow. In have no affiliation with the company, I just think they have a wonderful product. I did a short feature on them.

link to feature

Regards,

Eric
