The 2 RPG guys look great. As far as having spent shells around I would only put them where a lot of shooting is going on,like the one operator that is shooting upwards. He needs some brass on the ground. If it's only 1 or 2 shells,then nobody would notice that. Waste of time.

Hi there, gents!!

I´m still working on the bad guys and I´ve finished 2 of them in the weekend. One of them is a gunner with an AK and the other one is a fallen fighter. Some pics:






On the terrain:



And this is the casuality




And following Jerry´s advice, I put some shells cut from a 0.5mm brass rod in the high firing areas.




I think I have to spare some more around Axe´s figure and put some more empty mags also. The Marcus Luttrell figure has no shells yet, next day.

Good job so far. Only one small observation: blood oxidizes fairly fast and it turns into a very dark shade of red. Spilled bright red blood does not feel "natural". Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the appoinment! I've made the blood with a mix of red and brown. The picture is shot with flash so the blood looks brighter. But anyway, I'll give a darker wash to darken the blood.

Hi Jason!!

No, I'm not modifying any figure. The casuality is from a Verlinden kit "taliban fighters the end" All the other figures are bought on Aliexpress, many of them are arab fighters.

I have no skills to modify figures, so I just painted it. I only modified one US figure because it came without arms.

Hi friends!!

Last figure done. He's another taliban fighter laying dead. I tried to paint the face an hands lighter than the other figures so he looks like a corpse. I think I got something closer to what I wanted. Your opinion??









I have also added some "taliban" stuff over the terrain.





And, that's all for now. I think I have finished the work. I'll take a last glance to look for last errors or improvements. A general view of the project.



I hope next pics would be the finished dio. I'll shot some pics with the reflex camera to get some cool shots.

Jerry, this is exactly what I tried to make. I'd like to think I got it. As soon as I finish the rear side, it would be finished. I want to glue a cardboard with the name of all the fallen warriors during Red Wings, Seals and 160th crew.

Nacho this is sick! And I love it! Looks like it was a lot of fun to create. Especially enjoyed the outdoor pics, you really have the touch choosing the colors for your figures.
Great technique using sawdust and steel wool for the trees. Seems easy enough and cost friendly too!
Overall it came out awesome. It's not too often we see a mountainous terrain dio, and "in action" as well.

@Stickframe, @strongarden, thanks for watching, I'm glad you like it.

@Stickframe, I have finally shot some outdoor pictures but with the mobile (posted at the end of the post) because I tried to shot with a 50mm f1.8 lens and I couldn't get what I wanted. That lens don't focus below 40cm (15in) so I couldn't get close shots. Anyway, I'll try with another lens I have, and I'll cross fingers.

@strongarden, thanks for your words, very appreciated. If was sooooo funny to build, indeed. The start was a bit messy, but all the process has been funny, and I have learned a lot.

I'm thinking about climbing to the rooftop to shot the last pics, so I could avoid the fence of my yard on the pics.
