The dioramas and vignettes are absolutely stunning. Would love to see that in person some day. Thanks for sharing the additional links.

Good photo's Engin. (Good depth of field, good lighting, good colour.) What did you use?

If you have the chance I can fully recommend putting this event on your agenda. I've been visiting this event for years and the quality went from good to fantastic to all the way through the roof this last edition. And there are no signs that it will stop anytime soon.

@ Marc
All the pictures from this report that were made by me were taken with my trusty Samsung Galaxy S6 edge plus. Brilliant piece of kit.

Really creative & amazing work! To have this many great efforts all in one place & time would make choosing a winner, in any category, really difficult. Thanks for sharing these fine photos! IIRC it's been awhile since Faust posted here. Nice to hear you're still in the game.

Believe me you have to book now or very soon for the next year's SMC. Big demand to a limited accomodation.

Yep, been there and it was great. Lots of stuff, lots of models and spended a lot too. There was one dealer/maker (?) that had a cabinet on his table with a lot of (grey) 1/32 and 1/35 (military) figures. The details were fantastic. I took a lot of businesscards home to look up later but could't find the guy. His table was on the corner of a row. Anybody know who I mean? I've been looking at the dealerlist too but no luck.

I think you might have a look for sovereign 2000. A British company who bought the figure line from hornet some years ago but also produces his own. From my memory he was the last on the second row in the trade area and your description fit his stand.

Ok no worries it was my first best and only guess. From the top of my head I can't remember who were there vendor wise. But with 130+ that's not surprising. God luck with your search

Amazing work! I am consistently amazed at how European modelers "go the extra mile" to make the scenes that they want and seemingly spare no expense.

It's really neat to see some of the OOP figures and kits being used for these dioramas and vignettes.

It just goes to show that if companies make a kit, chances are some modeler will eventually buy and build it.

Winning a medal or an aword in the contest must give one the feeling that he or she is a winner . I hope to participate one day when i 'm so much better than today.
