Note that some paints which seem to be water based are not.
The water is simply used as to dilute the paint but the paint, or actually the "glue" that makes the pigment stick to the surface and form a durable layer, is solvent based.
These solvents for "water" based paints are usually not sensitive to the thinners/solvents used for enamels.

The advice by Vicious above is very good.
Don't trust what you read or hear, test with Your paints and Your solvents.

never try the MM but i use the Humbrol enamel,never have any problem between acrylics and enamel if they are completely cured

The problem is not the paint but what thinner you use,i go with turps,white spirit or Humbrol thinner,but thinner and names change between cuontry...test on some scrap piece before

hi guys ,I am wanting to use model master enamel paint over a water base paint ,my q is can I do that? all ideas are wellcom thanks .
