Peter, thanks for that helpful suggestion. I just PM‘d John and we‘ll see what he says.

And, yep, that‘s a Kugelblitz turret on Mike‘s build! This is what happens when I try to paint/build with one hand/part of my brain and type with the other - not a pretty sight.

Thanks to everyone for your builds!

So I tried to upload my pics after I finished taking my kids trick-or-treating, and I ran into this:

That continued on until midnight my time, and was the same when I woke at 6 AM to get ready for work. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper.

But I am home now and here is my completed build:

Minimal weathering as I don't know what my plans are as far as a base/diorama and want to keep my options open.

Paints are Tamiya for the camouflage, Vallejo European Dust wash to blend the three colors, Vallejo European Dust pigment to give a little dirt, some graphite to make a few scratches here and there, and a silver Prismacolor pencil for the idler wheel and track teeth/traction ridges.

This was a bit easier than the Tamiya/ICM hybrid I built years ago but they made some errors with the zimmerit and there were minor fit issues with the turret shell. The PE cartridge basket was pretty fiddly, too.

@Pete: thanks for the kind words. Your M16 and base turned out superb.

@Jerry: thank you for the kind words. It is a fun old kit.

Congratulations to all the finishers and hopefully there will be an extension for those still in the hunt.

Thanks for a fun and wonderful campaign.

Happy Modeling,
Zon

Excellent Lap Man. Love the camo pattern and the subtle weathering.

Lap Man, your Flakpanzer 38(t) is amazing - I agree with Peter about the camo and the weathering, which really brings out the finish.

Shell, very nice Ostwind. The camouflage and Zimmerit are excellent, and even if some of the bits in the turret, etc. were fiddly, it turned out really well.

Great builds!

Are you linking from the gallery or from an outside host? While I upload pics to the gallery as per the campaign requirements, the pics in the forums I link to from imgur.

Thanks for the comment, Jerry. I hope you can get the Tunguska squared away, but I understand the frustration of a kit that takes a side-turn when you thought all was going well. Still not sure why many manufacturers cannot figure out how to hide ejection marks while there are others who do it well.

John, thanks a lot for the extension! Getting it done by next weekend shouldn‘t be a problem.

Shell, thanks for the kind words. I did manage to get the Tunguska squared away and have mostly finished painting it. I agree with you, that with kits that have come out recently (this one came out in 2013) you wonder why the sink and ejector marks, bad mold lines, etc. are still appearing. I can only guess that it‘s a steep learning curve for a new model company, to get their molds sorted out, etc. - I think this was Panda‘s very first kit. I built their more recent BTR VPK-7829 Bumerang a while back and it hardly had any of these problems.

Marc, I don‘t know whether this helps, but I‘ve noticed that when I try to upload more than one picture at a time to the gallery, it doesn‘t work. Also, in addition to Peter‘s helpful post, this is what I always referred to when posting pics:

Ok, got it. The trick was to do one at a time.
Thanks all.

Yeah Kelly, that was the issue I had when I first tried to post pics. You do learn by other people's mistakes hey!

For those that missed it, John P has granted an extension to 10/11 so pedal to the metal guys and you might make it through.

Jerry, impressive! I like the camouflage. It is effective, and creates the reality of the model.
