I'd thought I'd share another of my current projects. This isn't a historically accurate build. I took some liberties and mated a reworked split hatch turret to a production hull.

I picked up the Tamiya Pershing and AA Super Pershing resin conversion for cheep at a swap meet. The casting texture on the AA turret was so nice (except for the pin holes that keep popping up) I had to use it. I also used the front armored plates and skipped the rest. I used a Black Dog resin set for the fender stowage and used misc. stowage and epoxy putty for the rest. The barrels are RB models, track tool and tool box handles are TMD. PE is a combo of Eduard and scratch. The tracks are Fruil and they only included two lefts so I'm a little bummed by that.

It's not technically accurate but I've been having fun with it.

I've since corrected the MG post. It's a little tall in the photos.

Thanks Patrick, Mark and Mike!

It could be a while before paint happens.

This is one awesome piece of fantasy armor! I'd love to see it painted up too.

Thanks Mike.

The weather cooperated the other weekend and I was finally able to get some paint on this.

I'm not looking forward to all the in situ detailing stowage painting. Too much PE to knock off.

I'm close to calling this one done. Or I might be done already and don't know it. Need to let it sit for a while and come back to it.

Nice work, The tank looks weathered about right. The only issue I see is the lack of the counter balances for the armor plate on the mantel. They were needed so the gun could be elevated with all that steel out there.

Mike - Thanks

EZ8 - Thanks. Your right but I didn't like the look. The T26E4 was able to counterbalance internally and no longer required the external springs. Maybe with a little more adjustment they could support the extra armor plate too. ;-)
