Hi all,
Going to Las Vegas on Tues.for work.
I don't gamble,so I was wondering if anyone knew of any shops there that sell model kits?

Not much on stores, but Battlefield Vegas has a lot of tank and tank-like vehicles that are free to visit and photograph.

That would be Hobby Town USA on Sahara and Decatur.

All most all the mom and pop stores have closed.

Wayne,

The last few times I was there, admittedly close to a year ago, the shelves throughout the store were all at least 50% empty. The store definitely (to my eye, anyway) had the look of an impending ‘Going Out Of Business’ announcement. I had hoped I was wrong. Are things different, today? I love that store, but now living on the far southeastern end of town, the trip there is longer than I’d like it to be.

Whenever I go there, I make an effort to buy even more things than I need, in my minuscule effort to keep in business one of the last local brick and mortar stores dedicated to our hobby.

I visited Las Vegas last year and if you are a history buff like me, Battlefield Las Vegas was a great place to have a go at classic weapons, in my case WWII.

Theres some vehicles outside as well.

Must have been an off time or something, every time I’ve been in there shelves were full, heck, even the counters were full of overflow a week or two ago. If you need to dig through the aftermarket case just ask, they’ll unlock it, ive found a few little gems buried in there.

Battlefield Vegas rocks, and it is free. They have probably forty vehicles there, and some are quite interesting. I'll add another place; Eldorado Canyon 'abandoned goldmine'. They have some very interesting old cars/planes/other hulks along with some very cool 'Mad Max' style cars like double decker school buses. Its a great ride, about 20 minutes out of downtown, and bring your camera; great inspirations for colors and weathering.

Must have caught them at an off time. They are always stocked and busy when I've been there.

Thanks to James and Wayne for letting me know that the LV Hobby Town is still alive and well 😊. As I’d written, it was REALLY down in inventory the last 2 times I was there, and it looked like they were trying to clear the shelves in prep for going out of business. I need some paint...guess I’ll take a ride over there!
