During my research on vehicles of Operation Olive Branch, I found out that Turkish Army uses three versions of the ACV-15 IFV/APC. One APC with ACAV shield, one APC with UGWS and the IFV with 25mm gun. Am I assuming correctly that the UGWS APC is an upgrade of the ACAV version. What are the Turkish designations of the tracks for an in-depth Google search?

Hi Hans,
The UGWS Turret is without MK-19 just with the M2HB. And yes this is an upgraded version of ACAV version also there are two types of tracks on Turkish ACV-15 vehicles, first one is T130E1 and second one is German made Diehl T150 as I know. I bought AFV Club's M113A1G track set for my ACV-15 in the near future I think it would be useful.

Hi Efe,

Thanks for the info. I just ordered AFV Club YPR765 as a base to start with. BTW is the turret used with the Turkish APC the same as on the AIFV/YPR or different?

A couple more questions:
- I noticed that the M60A3 MBT are accompanied by ex-Bundeswehr
M88 A1G. Are thes vehicles somehow modified or can the AFV
Club kit be build OOTB?
- What are the colors of the Turkish " Desert scheme"?
- Is there an offical site of the Turkish Armed Forces with a
media archive?

Cheers
Hans-Hermann

ACV-15 AIFVs has two versions of turrets; 25mm GIAT Dragar and 25mm DAF turret which as coming along with the kit, both turret versions producing in Turkey under license so, you can use the DAF turret which is coming along the kit.
For your other questions, I use mixture of colors for Turkish desert camo's colors so I'dont know.
You can Build Turkish M88A1 with AFV Club one with only replacing tracks and cupola.
Here is the offical website of Turkish Armed Forces. You can find informations to select English language about ongoing operations, exercises and other events (You can also find some referance photos about vehicles)

Is the cupola the same as on ACV-15?

Sorry mate, I made a mistake, you can build this kit as Turkish Army without any replacement,
I checked some photos about Turkish M88A1G and cupola is not different than basic one so, you don't need to replace it. Also some Turkish M88A1Gs are have basic T-97 tracks in 1990s.
