Off to a good start. Be sure to change the fuel can to the British-style can.

One a side note, it is a Willys. The S is part of the name and always present.

I picked up set of those decals. My build for using them rather far down on the build list. I will be following your build.
The cross road were I'm at is can the RAF marking's be used both as a WW2 jeep being painted O D and a post war jeep being painted RAF blue and would the same apply to the RCAF markings .
The Echelon decal sheet do's not state any thing about painting other than the illustration being blue which I assume is post war RAF blue.
My plan for my build is to put a Bodi top and to replace the American gas can with a British gas can.
Looking foreword to seeing it painted up.

Interesting, I did a quick search as well once you commented. It seems the RAF blue was a pre-'41 color and then applied again post WWII in '46. WWII RAF jeeps from '41 until '46 were left in standard OD Green as delivered, or painted overall sand for N. Africa service.

This is how a wartime Willys MB would have been painted and marked.

This RAF jeep from WWII seems to only have the roundel on the side and no lettering on the hood. The color looks OD to me, but it is hard to tell in a B&W photo.

Additionally, British Army jeeps had an "M" serial number, not a "U.S.A." serial number, like below.

Please, please do not paint it blue-grey. This wasn't used by the RAF during the war despite what some owners might claim. The RAF followed the same camo instructions as the Army.

Yes, blue-grey was not used on them during the war years, '41-'45. They were painted blue-grey again in '46. It was a pre- and post-war color. During the war years, they were OD green as delivered from the US.

Marcelo
Thanks for a good discussion.Change of plans for my build came to the conclusion the Echelon Decals are meant to be ww2
Echelon's illustration should have shown the jeeps OD instead of RAF blue. A post war RAF jeep still sounds good just need some finer details about the markings.
Again looking forward to your build.
