Igor, good progress on your T-64. Modelcollect‘s kits seem to have good detail for 1/72. By the way, do you already know what paint scheme you’re going to be using for your Trumpeter T-80U?

Alex, good start on your Chieftain.

Bob, I hope the tracks are coming along. I think it‘s a good idea to start a build by getting the tedious bits out of the way first....in theory. I usually don‘t do it myself because I need that motivational rush of doing some fun assembly sequences first. In short, I admire your discipline.

Nice work so far on the 'Lollipop' Igor. Those kits do seem to be nicely detailed for the size.

Modelcollect kits are well detailed with lots of PE parts.
I am running out of stash space, therefore I am shifting to 72 th scale.

hey here is my entry. The Trumpy t-62, I am going for a Syrian 1982 camo scheme on it, as I have reading alot on Middle-eastern subjects, wars, etc.

this is MY FIRST work/campaign I will have posted here, hope I am up to y'all's standards!



Note that I still am waiting on the legend Fuel tank/plumbing set to arrive. I actually have two metal barrels for this, so that means one goes to the pares box for future use. Note it is opened only:



And lastly here are a few pics of the actual product. Interestingly, according to what I have been reading, the Syrians are noted for their poor maintenance of thier equipment, so I am going to have to figure out hot to beat up/chip this little guy appropriately:

Here id my entry: Trumpeter's K1A1. This is an early Trumpeter kit with signs of motorization.



Just dug it out. It is motorized.

I have the basic vehicle built. Just need to add the guide horns to the DS tracks and then add the resin stowage. I am hoping it wont take me too long to do.

This is a real dog of a kit if I am honest. Definitely not for beginners. Had every issue under the sun. Poor parts fit, flash, injector pin marks everywhere, poor instructions, big gaps etc. I can see why it was on deep discount clearance at my local store.

Still, despite all that it looks very much like an M1A1 and that's the main thing

Turret completed.

You guys are flying into these builds. They are all looking great - even the 'Dog' Rory...

2nd update:

Stowage is on: Went on pretty well with no major hassle.



I have also base coated the vehicle. Side skirts are tacked on and can be removed for adding the track. Paint used was Mission Model Paint 038 - US Desert Tan Modern. Went on pretty well. This is my 2nd time using this brand and the results were much better than the first since I opted NOT to follow the recommended PSI and thinner ration. No issues with clogging etc.

What weathering to be done will be with oils/enamel washes etc. I am not going to go to heavy on this vehicle.

Then its time to paint the crew. Plus all that stowage to paint *sigh*

Model has been completed and ready for washing.
After that one coat of primer.

@Rory: looks good. You mentioned you did not follow MMP manufactures recommendation. May I ask what you did do, as I was thinking to use them for my M1. Thanks in advance.

@Igor: great job. A lot going on with that tiny thing.

@Rob: good job on thinning the mud flap. Very even.

@Zon - On the website it recommends 10-30% thinner ratio at 10-15 psi. This did not work well for me. Clogged up a lot and I was using a 0.5mm needle for basecoat work.

I upped the thinner ratio to around 40% and the psi to 20 and it seemed to work.

But one small mistake. The left Backpack on the Rack is attached with the bottom.
