I agree, the V-2 lifting rig could be scratchbuilt. I scratchbuilt an entire Vidalwagen out of brass, so it doesn't scare me much. But look closely at the photo of the lifting "T" for the V2-- there are complex shapes in the photo, various sized "lightening holes", straps and clamps around the V2, threaded rods, bolts and eyelets, and a counterweight/bumper. It would not be a "quick" or simple scratchbuilding project for the faint of heart. And would be better in metal or PE for sure. Not to mention one would need to come up with the plans (Bert Koopman where are you?). That shouldn't deter a skilled modeler from procuring the Fries Crane for a diorama of the Vidalwagen to Miellerwagen switch (or the switch from the RR flat car to the Vidalwagen), but it would have been nice to see this rig included in the kit to begin with---and I can't help but wonder if Takom has that in mind, since they have already produced separate components of the V2 sets. It would be nice to "get inside the Takom mind" to find out.

Remember when Tamiya released the rear spade for the FAMO as a separate piece in one of their small boxes? Takom should totally do similar with the V-2 hoist unit. I would be all over that.

Um, sorry but what's with the mystery Panther. I mean if I want an Ausf A or G and it turns out to be a D what then? Or vice versa? Wouldn't this put you off the combo kit?

Was wondering if this crane could lift a king tiger turret. Figure it is rated at 16 tons. I know tiger 1 is 11, could not find a place to get weight of a KT turret. LOL way to many complete interior kits out there may have to get 2 or 3 of these puppies

The idea is it's supposed to be a fun "grab bag raffle" kind of thing. Note Takom says it is at a special discounted price to sweeten the pot. At the end of the day most of us already have a zillion kits; so whether it is am A or D who cares?!

I have a D, 2 A's, and 2 G's; all but one from Dragon. For the right combo price I wouldn't say no to another.

According to the info provided on my favourite plastic pushers website it is a random choice between any of the following Panther kits:
- No. 2097 1/35 WWII German medium tank Sd.Kfz.171 Panther Ausf.A Early Production w/full interior

- No. 2098 1/35 WWII German medium tank Sd.Kfz.171 Panther Ausf.A Mid/Early Production w/full interior

- No. 2099 1/35 WWII German medium tank Sd.Kfz.171 Panther Ausf.A Late Production w/full interior

- No. 2100 1/35 WWII German medium tank Sd.Kfz.171 Panther Ausf.A Mid/Late Production w/Zimmerit & full interior

- No. 2104 1/35 WWII German medium tank Sd.Kfz.171 Panther Ausf.D Late Production w/ Zimmerit & full interior

In theory: If you buy two of these combo kits there is a 20% chance that it will be the same Panther in both kits.
