Hey fellas,

Does anybody make a 16th scale Pz IV without interior? I've got the urge to build one, but I don't want to spend money on a kit with interior since I have no urge to build the interior. If that's my only option then I guess I'll have to deal with it.

I looked at my normal go to places and only one site even had any kits and they all had the interior.

Thanks
Scarred

The only 1/16 Pz IV's I've seen are Tamiya's RC version and Trumpy's IV's. I've got the Ausf H kit and it's big. With a lot of parts. But they're big parts scalewise. I'm working on the 1/16 T-72 and the smallest parts I've dealt with were a couple pieces of photoetch and the screws holding the road wheels on.

My Ausf H is on the build list as soon as I get some zimmerit for it.

Tamiya have issued their Pz IV in a stripped down version with a single motor only, instead of RC. But judging by eBay prices, it still is twice that of a Trumpeter Pz IV.

So, even if it feels wasteful to buy and build a full interior kit "buttoned up", Trumpeter will be much "cheaper". (Cheap isn't exactly a word that goes well with 1:16.) And you've got more versions to choose from, as Tamiya only does the J.

Don’t shoot me, but Bandai do 1/15 scale panzer IV sans interior... find one if you can. I do tend to agree, buying Trumpeter will be the cheapest way to go. And I’m sure someone out there may buy the interior off of you for a scratch build project of their own. Someone is always looking for spares!

Heng Long also do 1/16 RC tanks, including the Panzer IV. As an option.
